I had been craving a traditional, delicious hot dog for quite some time and Dawg Pound hit the spot. It was perfect. They also offer Not-Dogs, buns with all the toppings and no beef, it's like a sloppy joe. New hot dog spot for us!
Perfect ratio of dog and condiments.Spicy chili was perfectly so. Add it, to everything... no not your frickin' soda. Are you stupid? Pay attention. Why would your mind even go there? Ridiculous.
If you are a hot dog lover I recommend this place they have different styles of hot dogs for you to enjoy. My favorite is the Chicago hot dog It is delicious

We had to stop and buy a couple of hot dogs. We ate here a couple times in our stint in Hickory. The dogs were good. WE have utilized their outside seating which is nothing to speak of but a couple of metal picnic tables. Ambiance is not existent here. The dogs were good. It is a two lane drive through. So do not be like us and drive off thinking you pick it up on the other side. This does make it a slow fulfillment process. Our ratings overall: Service 4 stars/Food 4 stars/Atmosphere 2 stars/Romantic appeal 2 stars/Renown 2.5 stars/Value 3.5 stars. This all averages to 3 stars. If you are hankering for a hot dog in Hickory this is the spot (only spot).
Delicious hot dogs. I had the All the Way and my husband had the Chicago Dog. Addicting! We'll definitely be back soon!
