Hickory location was closed on a Monday and I wanted crunchy fish so I drove to Hudson NC. I will never eat at the Hickory location which is less than 5 minutes from my house. Everything was perfect... The Voice at the order speaker, the cashier at the window, 99 health inspection (awesome) and my food was perfect., fresh and hot. They were busy at the drive thru and the wait was minimal. Again, even with the price of gas, I will definitely drive 15 minutes to get my monies worth. High 5 to the managers and staff at the Hudson location.
This place is consistent food always good
I loved the classic seafood platter. Apparently my family did too because I got off work and they had eaten the remaining. Going back!!
Wednesdays are always Senior Day. I get the '2' PC fish dinner, no slaw. Their green beans are Awesome!

Stopped by, on my way home, this evening.y wife and I enjoyed a salt and pepper catfish dinner. Everything was great, except the corn on the cob, it was tasteless, no butter, no salt. It tasted like boiled water.
The man taking order at the window,has a nasty attitude,and his finger nails is real dirty,his appearance is dirty looking,to be working on the front line or window.Hickory Captain D,'s has never been friendly the whole crew ijs.
I was the only customer there. The only customer!! It took 22 minutes to get my food. Not once did the cashier acknowledge me or try to explain why it was taking so long. It was ridiculous. I will drive to Lenoir 30 miles away before I come to this restaurant again!!
Service was terrible. We used drive thur. The manager had us pull up to the front of store where we waited 25 minutes on 3 meals worst service ever food was great.
