Outstanding food and service. One of Hickory's special, local places.
Came in during a rush, expecting there to be somewhat of a wait, but we ended up waiting over an hour for 2 sandwiches and oatmeal. Two parties after us got their food before us. When we did get our food, it was extremely underwhelming and not even worth the wait. Extremely unhappy and will not be coming back.

This is one of my favorite restaurants!! I am not in the area often, but when I am, I make a point to stop by. Their tomato pepper gouda soup is my absolute favorite and I always get a few to go. Their meal specials are priced super well and their sandwiches are delicious. I really like that they have local art for sale and enjoy looking at all the different artwork every time I go.

It is a great place to eat. I got the Hot Chick which is a spicy chicken quesadilla with chips and salsa. Food was great. Would recommend if you are in the area.
The wait is absolutely ridiculous! Be prepared to wait a hour or more. Even for the simplest items! Ordered around 11:40am it is now 12:57 and still no food. Finally went to the counter and asked for my food to go and the manager at the register rudely stated that there is nothing she can do because her kitchen is only so big. Definitely will never return if that is how you answer a request to package the order to go after waiting an hour and a half for a pb&j sandwich for my son and a club for myself. These are sandwiches not rocket science. Lesson learned!
Good food eaten outside in good weather. Who could ask for any more?
It was OK. But it took > 20 minutes to get a bowl of oatmeal, which was pretty long. I finally got up to see if they had lost my order and they were on the way out with it! And a pretty small bowl and bottle of OJ was over $10, which seemed a bit high too.
Great environment good everything. A little work with CONSISTENCY would get them 5 stars.
