A really awesome place. Best Korean chicken I've had, interior is nice and clean, and the staff and owner were incredibly friendly! The price is super reasonable, and the taste is unlike any other fried chicken. Give this place a try if you find yourself in hickory; a definite 5/5. All of these reviews about customer service need to understand the difficulty with new locations and staffing issues. With fresh, made to order food, it takes longer and rushes make it even harder for these smaller businesses. Treat these guys well, they're making awesome food!
Service is excellent. The server Alexander was very courteous and helpful. Food came out quickly even for the large party of eight I was sitting near. I had the soy garlic drumsticks (pretty huge) and spicy red pepper wings--both were hot and tasty. Only complaint was the coleslaw was rather flavorless and the spicy pepper wings weren't nearly as spicy as I expected. The red garlic is a lot spicier. The server also gave me complimentary bonchon(?) potatoes and those were a nice surprise. Great experiences both times I visited. Hope they stick around a while.
Third time at 92Chicken. Tried the spicy garlic chicken wings this time. Discovered that I have lost a lot of my tolerance for spicy food over the years. Despite that, the spicy garlic chicken was still quite tasty. The fries were good as always. The coleslaw is just a good, basic slaw with none of the cloying sweetness found in a lot of restaurant recipes. Very enjoyable. And the service was great as it has been during my previous visits.
Our first time having Korean chicken! The service was excellent, the chicken was everything you want fried chicken to be. Crispy, hot, and juicy. We tried the original, soy ginger and red garlic. The red garlic was definitely the most unique. The sliced onions on top of the chicken with the Korean sauce they give you is just something you have to try to understand how it all just works! They also gave us samples of pickled radish, kimchi and Korean potatoes. We didn't ask, they just wanted us to try them. It was all good and we would definitely go back and recommend!
Amazing flavor and spice! Definitely not for the weak if you don't like spicy stuff stick to the regular chicken. The woman at the front taking our order was so very sweet and even gave us a complimentary order of dumplings while we sat and ate! Will definitely be back!!
So Hickory it’s ride or die as this is the only Korean fried chicken place around. It was good and definitely scratched the itch for Korean Fried chicken. Pickled daikon radish, vegetable dumplings, garlic soy chicken legs.
First visit this evening. What a treat. Staff was friendly, restaurant spotless. I ordered the spicy garlic fried chicken wings and fries. Food was fresh, hot, and most of all delicious!! Will definitely be back!!
Stopped in to try out this new Korean place. Service was kind and great! Food came out in timely manner, very hot and fresh. The chicken wings were very small, definitely not your average wing. I tried the original and the flavor was decent. Fries were your generic style fries. Would I come again? Maybe, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here.
Stopped by for lunch for the first time. The establishment was clean and staff was friendly. The menu was very meat forward but all well prepared and only took ten minutes from order to receiving. There’s not much of an atmosphere inside but is still new I’m sure they are working on that. Plenty of seating split up into two separate sides to spread out. I had the spicy garlic chicken tenders and was pleasantly surprised. Will check out again when back in the area. Cheers!!
I came on their 3rd opening day so there was limited choices so I got the soy garlic, lemon pepper, and curry wings (my fave out of the 3). So delicious, juicy, and sooo saucy. I'm definitely going to come back on the day they are fully restocked (grand opening was Saturday). Please ignore the location and definitely give them a try!
