Just sat down at ZAPATA MEXICAN FOOD RESTAURANT OMG!THESE PEOPLE HERE REFUSED TO SERVE US..... SAYING WE NEVER TIP ( which for the last 6 years we have ) With that said they add 6.75% on everyone's bill ( A TIP). I would never recommend this place. Also never give you a to - go cup. So WE LEFT AND WILL NEVER GO BACK !!!
Food was OK but my husband and I have never experienced such poor service anywhere! Very unfriendly staff. They brought us the wrong meat in our orders after our waiter had reassured us several times what it would be. We ate it anyway but were going to tell them to bring awareness but they never, not once!, came back to check on us & see how everything was or if we want something else! The guy that took our orders & told us what meat we will be getting never showed his face again. After a long while a different guy came & smacked down our ticket on our table. When we asked for more food he just grunted & walked away. We waited for 15 minutes but he never brought us what we asked for so we left. What they don't realize that they missed out on was that we usually tip 40-50%, they missed out on it that night and on any future visits as it was our first & last time there!
Rudest server ever...I had gone years before and it was infested with roaches....told the waiter and she said "oh okay"... this was Tecate during that time...even showed her a video of the roaches on the wall...now years later it's Zapata and still have the crapiest waiters...and have such a bad attitude. Not recommend for family or friends. Food is okay but with roaches...I don't think I'll ever be back.
I cannot agree with the reviews about the serving staff at Zapata. My wife and I go here regularly flor lunch and occasionally for dinner. We love the food, and we very much enjoy having a great Mexican neighborhood restaurant. I will say the staff are almost always exhausted because they work seven days a week. We are in the middle of a workforce shortage—go figure. They have always maintained a professional but non-nonsense attitude when we have dined there. I have found if I am kind to them they are super accommodating to me and my family. My worst experiences at have all been good, and my best experiences have been fantastic. Lunch is always amazing. Dinner is pricier but the portions and extra menu items make it worth it. I highly recommend you give Zapata a try.
The food here is delicious it is always so fresh!! But the service can be slow they do cater to the sheriffs department and highway patrol I have noticed and that’s fine with me …..I go there because the food is delicious
They made us wait like 20 minutes till they got are order and we asked if we could order are drinks and food together cause of how long we had been waiting and the waiter said no and we told him we had been waiting pretty long and he said he did not care that he had other people to host and that was not true the restaurant was empty and he told us that if we wanted to leave we could he told use the door was wideopen and he still kept on arguing with usHe sort of kicked us out!!!!Worst place to eat
The atmosphere is uninspired and a little tawdry around the edges but don't let this mislead you. I'm from California and GOOD Mexican is not easy to find. In all the places I have visited here in Hendersonville, first meal impressions, by far the best by far.Happy I stopped
I can’t relate to the reviews saying their attitude is poor, they have always been great every time I go. Support for law enforcement is a huge plus as well.
Our favorite place in town! The shrimp is always fresh and not small or fishy a the chicken is seasoned perfectly! We usually go weekly and love the food & family!!
Zapata was recommended by one of the local residents which we had just done some business with.OMG, the food was amazing. We both had the Pastore chicken tacos. Both my wife and I agreed that they were the best tacos we had ever eaten.
