I am from Connecticut and you can not find good seafood out here until we found this place. We live an hour and a half away and it is well worth the trip. Awesome food 😊
Very expensive food.. then everything is cooked with no one wearing gloves and the people eating food while they make yours ..touching their mouth then touching your food .. that is just very nasty .. will not ever eat their again we had to throw our food in the trash ..a waste of 51 dollars do not recommend to anyone
I cannot remember the last time I had fried whole-belly clams! These were awesome. Next visit...the Lobster Rill. Good fries, too.
Had the lobster roll basket for lunch give that 5 stars for taste, authenticity and presentation. Best Lobster roll I have had since leaving New England in the late 80s. Came back for dinner hubby had 3 Hendersonville Dogs and I had the Kraut dog with a basket of fries. Twice in one day, Tom’s doing everything right! This little dinner doesn’t look like much from the street, but the food is hands down some of the best we’ve eaten in Hendersonville.
I wish I would’ve eaten Hot Dog world instead. We had never tried this place before but we thought we would give it a try.First off, the prices on their website is probably from 2017, so if you’re on a budget, definitely go somewhere else. I’ll attach a photo of a current to-go menu.Second of all, the fries taste like old fish oil. It’s evident everything on the menu is fried in the same fryer and oil. It’s gross. I think the fries would have been good had it not been for that. The onion rings on the other hand, were very undesirable. They didn’t have any taste other than fryer oil. And did I mention overpriced??????The hotdogs were some better. Salty, but edible. The one and only good thing I can say, is I did like the red relish on the all American hotdog.
Haven't tried it before thought we would. Hotdog world is the great American hotdog. Prices are high you can almost eat 2 hotdogs at hotdog world for there price. Won't go back.
I'm a local and oftenn visit weekly before I go grocery shopping at the nearby Publix. It's a small, very clean, well-lit place with a friendly owner/cook/waiter serving a limited menu right out of the kitchen. While scrumptious hot dogs are #1, fish/seafood is a close 2nd. The prices do seem a bit high for such quick, simple food.
My wife & I have not been here since before Crazy-19 hit the world in 2020. We were recently disappointed by a lobster roll we had gotten elsewhere at a food truck, and we thought we remembered this place offered the same. Sooo... we went back to give it a try. At first I was taken aback at seeing a $ 26.99 price listed for a lobster roll basket (includes slaw and a "side.") But my wife & I decided to "go for it." Besides, we haven't eaten out much in the past 2 1/2 years, and with inflation growing, maybe the price posted is simply competitive. Well lemmetellya... the lobster rolls were, as Andy Griffith used to say on TV many years ago... "Mmmm Mmmm GOOD!" Oh! My wife & I both opted for onion rings as our "side." Golly! Those were REAL onion RINGS... and, yes, they also were "Mmmm Mmmm GOOD!" The place has a "bare bones" (but PATRIOTIC!) decor. And, to be honest, they DO have a varied menu if you want various types of hot dogs, burgers, sandwiches... and GOOD SEAFOOD!
Reminiscent of a luncheonette/diner in a small strip mall on the outskirts of downtown Hendersonville. An acquaintance suggested that we give their seafood a try. They also serve hot dogs, hamburgers and chicken. My gal order the lobster roll and I had the full order of clams. Both orders came with tasty in-house made fries and coleslaw. The lobster meat was on a hot dog bun. It was fresh, tasty, chunky and not diluted with mayo or sauce. The clams were deep fried and were delicious. The only issue I had was the breading (and sometimes the clam) would break off as I was transferring it from the basket to my mouth. Some otherwise delicious pieces ended up on the floor! The seafood was fresh and reminded us of several dishes we had in Maine. So if one is looking for a New England seafood fix, it is worth trying.I did order a black coffee which tasted fresh but bitter. The bitterness diminished as the coffee cooled down, however. As usual, seafood prices are high and it is reflected in the price.
Go-to place for seafood. Also for hot dogs. Our lobster roll and the chili cheese dog were both very good. Fries and cole slaw were also very good. A good value.
