We enjoyed our evening here. The food was out of this world yummy and prepared by a true professional. They have a variety of drinks and wines and make their own deserts. Jack, the bartender was great, personal and fun to watch make drinks. We had the walnut ravioli and it was excellent. The place is very lively but just a little too noisy.
The food is great. If you are lucky enough to get the banana pudding - it’s a must do. The staff is friendly and helpful. We have been 3 times and have been very happy with the service and the food even when they ran out of the pudding! This is an open area although I think it’s split into several sitting areas. It is beyond loud but so worth it.
Our food was excellent. The host stand unfortunately set the mood....we arrived 455 for a 5pm reservation and was told it's not 5 yet...no offer to go to bar, just wait. After being seated, we're promptly waited on and ordered drinks...then a few moments later our meal. After a very short time..our meal arrived. First wait to get seated then move fast..don't enjoy your drinks. Server was nice, just not the overall experience I imagined.
Nice outdoor dining area & great service. Crab cakes were good, not great. Prosciutto salad was excellent. Burgers & fried chicken sandwiches were very good. She crab soup was just ok. Nice ambiance on the inside, but we ate outside.
I was underwhelmed throughout most of the dining experience. Most of it came down to the food itself. You are paying close to fine dining prices but not getting the fine dining experience. We started with the pork belly bites and baguette. The herb butter that came with the baguette was great, and the baguette was soft and crunchy. The pork belly bites were cooked properly, but the dish felt a bit sweet with the orange sauce that the pork was covered in. The slaw that came with it added a nice texture, but it was also sweet.I ordered the tempura soft shell crabs and again, the crab was cooked properly, but it was really sweet this time. They put way to much sweet chili sauce or whatever sauce they were using on it, and it overpowered the dish. Shine has some good things going on, but in my opinion I felt that the dishes could be done differently.
Fantastic food and ambiance. It was lively without being noisy. Exquisite menu options with great flavor. A great place to take your partner for a special date.We ordered a Cuban and shrimp tortellini, along with ginger beer and the chocolate mousse cake thing (I forget the name). My only issue was the prices seemed very steep compared to what we walked in anticipating to pay (according to the Google reviews). I also might recommend to management for prettier salt/pepper shakers/grinders, they were underwhelming when brought to our table.
What an amazing meal. Crazy value for the quality of food. Chef ensures each ingredient is sourced and home made and absolutely represented on the plate. Wow wow wow. Seriously crazy quality - everything was amazing for the five of us. Filer of flounder and beans were ridiculous - fettuccine and sauce were off the hook. Burger with homemade pimento cheese… Woohoo
Reservation at 7 on a Saturday. Place was packed but we were seated right away. Started with a French 75 which was crafted perfectly. This rib-eye steak ? was damn good as was the Bernaise sauce. You owe it to yourself to have one!
While in Hendersonville we ate here twice bec it was so good. Great vibe, delicious food, and friendly wait staff. Conveniently located.
Heard great things and decided to try it. We weren't disappointed! Our waitress, Mary, was wonderful. We told her we hadn't eaten there and she was most helpful with suggestions...including wine selections. I looked at the menu on line and was interested in the stuffed shitake mushrooms. They were GREAT! My husband had the shrimps & grits and I had the spinach fettuccini. Both were great...but with such a varied menu we will likely try other things. (But would have both entrees again.)
