Wow, wow, WOW!!! Great food ? great, friendly service and cozy family atmosphere!!! Just an amazing little hole in the wall restaurant and ice cream shop in the same building. Win, win!!! So, my wife got the double cheeseburger and unless you are a BIG eater, go for the single. I got the BBQ plate and it was plenty of food and the sauce is excellent!! The homemade mustard bbq is also highly recommended. We will definitely be eating here again. If you read this, thank you ladies for a great experience!!!
It is a simple long standing sandwich shop with very affordable food that was actually fairly good. Now it is not gourmet for sure, but do not drive by because of the appearance. Give it a try and see way the local folks patronize the place. I will return.
Highly recommended.Always fresh well prepared food served by friendly efficient staff.Great menu, cool memorabilia covering the walls. Don't forget the ice cream and then get to a couch asap!
This place is super unique and very welcoming. Nostalgic signs and rustic decor added to the fun. It was our first time visiting. Had a craving for ice cream, did a Google search and found this place. My pralines and cream sundae with turtle toppings (a mix of chocolate and caramel) made it even better. The girls at the counter were very helpful and did a great job offering additional calories through toppings we absolutely welcomed. My husband enjoyed a black cherry homemade milkshake. They also offer many ice cream and food selections. Highly recommend!
Sliced pork dinner was good. We ordered an additional potato salad to go, so we can reboot it again.Enjoyed 2 ice creams afterward.
Had the sliced pork plate. It consisted of four very lean slices of pork that had been reheated by searing them on a grill. Baked beans were average. Homemade potato salad was delicious ?
Piggy's and Harry's is a great place with excellent food. It's quite a place for American nostalgia with old signs, statues, pictures, arcade games, etc, etc. You name it and it's probably there somewhere. It reminds me of something you would see on Route 66 even though I've never been there on 66 other than when I was 2 years old. The food is awesome. The first time I went there I had a Double Cheeseburger with Mayo, Lettuce, onion, tomato, and pickles. It was what I would call the delicious old timey American Cheeseburger which is just the way I love them. The second time I had the BBQ pulled pork platter which included 2 sides. I had baked beans and potato salads. The BBQ was delicious and the sides were good too. They also have very good ice cream with several flavors. Piggy's and Harry's is definitely one of my favorite places to go now. It's both a wonderful eating experience and a trip back through time. I highly recommend going to Piggy's and Harry's. It's Awesome!!!
Pretty satisfying comfort food southern bbq. I think the only low point is the bbq sauce can be a little more savory and true southern Carolinas flavored (red or yellow). Bbq sauce was a little too sweet and tasted like commercial bottled sauces at the grocery stores compared to homemade authentic southern sauces. You do get a lot food for the price. Seating atmosphere is casual, fun and vintage thrift shop decorations. One low point is that restaurant and staff could do better about having mask policy for it patrons and also the staff should probably wear masks themselves while they serve customers and prepare the food. During the pandemic this would increase the food safety and cleanliness of their operation.
Local eats with great atmosphere and hospitality! The food was exceptional and priced very well. Followed lunch with ice cream!!!!
Absolutely the best burger I have ever had. Being a Maine girl I loved seeing the desert of Maine sign in the wall with all the other memorabilia around the dining area. Would absolutely go again. Customers were very friendly as well…
