If you’re a parent of small children, do NOT take them to Mezzaluna. I have been a parent for over 10 years and have taken my 3 children to countless restaurants. Never once have I been asked to quiet my children, let alone to leave the restaurant….until tonight. I was told by woman who was either another waitress or a manager to leave the restaurant with my child because my 17 month old had the audacity to act like a toddler and not be silent during our meal. The owners should be ashamed. They’ve lost this family’s business.

We visited there yesterday, and amidst the chaos of the Fourth of July, the hostess that was working last night was so kind, and patient, and caring. She helped us out so much and we will definitely come back on a less chaotic night. I wish I had caught her name. But she was awesome.

For the past few years every time we take guests here they ask "do there folks not care" how the front of their place looks with dead plants in sidewalk platers for months, chipped peeling paint all over the doors,...etc. Up til now we reassured them the food was good but this past week had a awful experience only made worse by managements response, and since found out its happened several times before. Not sure if I felt worse for our guests as they dug card board out of their piza after seeing me almost choke on a quarter sixed piece, of for the waitress who was hung out to dry in telling us they would only comp. us $5.00 on a $100+ tab (it wasn't about the $$) or the mgrs. response which was he was "he was too busy to even come out and address it, apologize, anything ! !!! We could all see (a dozen eyewitnesses) the pain and humiliation in our waitresses face with their uncaring response. Many times in life its not about what happens but more telling is how we respond to rectify and at Mezzaluna the response was a "so what" attitude with knowledge of others getting card board in their pizzas in the past ! sadly I guess someone will have to choke and sue them before they will care - I almost did.

Vacationing in Hendersonville, NC and hungry I was looking into local cuisines. I came across this Italian restaurant and decided to give them a try. It was actually pretty good. I just had the Italian sub sandwich. If you are in the area give them a try.

My out-of-state cousin and her hubby were visiting, and they wanted to treat us to our "favorite place" for dinner. Well... in our 9 years living in Hendersonville, we've tried quite a few nice dining places, and it's hard to specify a favorite. And, since the Crazy-19 business in 2020, we haven't dined out too often in the evening. So... as I checked WEBlistings for places in Hendersonville on the MONDAY night my cuz would be here, I found that only about 50% of the nicer places would be open. Aha! Mezzaluna was among the 50% OPEN, and I remember how much we liked going to Mezzaluna a couple of times in the past. Nice, warm ambience... and I REALLY like good Italian. Our meals and service were very good. We seniors had one problem, however. With the large dinner crowd that was there when we were... the TALKING of the CROWD was LOUD and it was difficult to listen to conversation across the table. I dunno... maybe that's just a "senior thing." But... my Mezzaluna Lasagna was DELICIOUS! Oh... BTW... be sure to see the "Italy" decor in the (artfully done) plaster "deterioration" on the wall in the right rear portion of the restaurant. I saw it when I wandered back that way to use the Restroom.

Mezzaluna was a great experience with my family and family visiting us from out of town. Jenny was our server and she was fantastic; rolling with the punches, friendly, prompt. The cocktails and beers were great and they do not skimp on the alcohol. The beers were local from Wicked Weed, Hi Wire and Highland and were cold cold and good. Amazing pasta dishes all around the table including the seafood combination, spaghetti with 2 delicious sausages and amazing ravioli! We ended with really good black coffee and Bailey’s and coffee. We sat outside on a beautiful Sunday. The inside looked cozy with gentle lights, wood grain and comfortable seating.Get to Mezzaluna for a delicious food, friendly and memorable experience!

Excellent food and service! Went for a late lunch here and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our server was very knowledgeable and professional, food was beautifully presented and tasted great! Love the interior decor! Would definitely come here again.

Great pizzas and service. Would definitely visit again. End of September was a busy time and lots of people around. Great experience.

Thank you to the Staff Saturday Night. We showed up with an 8 top for a Pizza Birthday party. Exceptional host & service, seating accommodations, fast drink orders and hot pizza. Thank you!
