If you're looking for fine dining to impress your date, Golden Corral obviously isn't it. If you're looking to feed your family decent food at a decent price, Golden Corral is a good choice.I've always found that what makes or breaks the experience is the staff. If they're friendly and welcoming, I want to come back. Our waitress Brenda was one of those people. She obviously was working hard, still had a smile for us, and was the perfect balance between attentive and leaving us alone. I admit that when we get there, we look to see if Brenda is on duty, and if she is, we deliberately sit in her section. She made us a regular.
Waitress talked constantly. Sat in a chair next to our table chatting away. Kept coming back talking about her family and asking us questions regarding what we would do about her situation. 8 guys beside us had to wave at her to get her attention that she had not served their drinks and they were already eating. My mother died 2 months ago and it was apparent to me when she said she had to pull her mask down when my mom stuck her tongue at her, she stuck hers out. The food was delicious, but my dad and I didn't have a relaxing and peaceful time eating lunch.

Huge variety of dishes. I eat clean and organic as much as possible, and I imagine very little is organic here. I love sweet potato, so I was happy with baked option.
Quality of food has declined. The price has gone up. $2.79 is a lot of money for a soft drink and then not being offered a refill. Of course they are probably cutting costs anywhere they can in order to continue to survive in this economy. I hope they make it. I hope all businesses make it.
Fried chicken on the bar was raw. Stark contrast to most of the rest of the food on the bar that was dry dry dry. Reheated leftovers from the pervious night (fingers crossed) was most of what was on the lunch buffet.
There must be something in the water... The manager did not seem his usual happy self. It may be because the person working on the steaks, was absolutely horrible. Horrible attitude, horrible grill cook. I asked for medium rare 3x. The best I got was medium well. This is not a review by someone who has no idea about working q grill. While I was in high school and college, I worked 6 years for Quincy's Family Steakhouse. I was frequently on the grill. This should be significantly easier. You have rare, medium rare, medium, medium well, and well done. All various stages of cooking and easy to set up your grill that way. He definitely needs training, at least.
Most of the food looked like it had been sitting there since lunch. It cost 36.00 for two. We will not eat here again. We can get a nice steak dinner for what they charged.
