The owner was serving today. He was so polite. The food was fantastic!!! Fried pork chops cut wafer thin, crispy fried chicken, collards, homemade mac and cheese and a host of other goodies could be had on the buffet. Would have liked a moister cornbread but that’s just my taste. Hendersonville has a real gem.

Just writing this review is making me hungry for the dishes we tried here. We had a party of 6 and most of us did the buffet, a few ordered off the menu. Everything was delicious. My mom was born and raised in GA and loved how much the fried pork chops and mac and cheese reminded her of her mom's. I was worried fried chicken wouldn't taste fresh from a buffet, but it was crispy, hot, juicy and delicious. The sweet potato fries were some of the best I've ever had (and I eat them a lot!) and we all could've eaten that mac and cheese for days. Do yourself a favor and go hungry; you won't leave that way.

My sister was visiting me from Gastonia on Friday 6-29-22. We wanted some good country cooking...boy did we ever find it. From the first bite we both new that we would be back. The food is absolutely incredible, the curbside service to go amazing and the warm, pleasant nature of the staff extremely appreciated. I live here and with all the eating places in Henderson County this, from the first bite is now my favorite, because it's the best. Thankful to have struck gold on Seventh Avenue.

My sister and I feel like we struck gold on Seventh Avenue. The food, service, staff the best all around. You can look till the cows come home but you can't find the epitome of good country cooking anywhere else. My Grandmoma died in 1993 and my Moma in 2013, never thought I would have good country home cooking like theirs ever again...until 6-29-22. Felt like I was home. My new favorite restaurant in WNC...and I live here.

Amazing food and service as usual. My go to place for out of town friends

Service & Food was amazing ..nice & quite @ the time ...love it from tx

I can't say enough about this. Family owned and operated. Restaurant Mom walked around making sure everyone was enjoying themselves. We indulged in the buffet. He had fish and fried chicked. Both were extremely good. Too good if you know what I mean. I ate way to much. The best mac and cheese I've had anyway (and I travel a bit). The greek salad was perfect-excellent ratio of olives, tomatoes and feta. I used the gravy on my mashed potatoes but it might have been for something else. It was soo yummy. I kept getting more. On Sunday we also received a piece of pie. I had to take mine home. Very delicious pecan pie. You owe it to yourself to "pig out" and eat the buffet. You can also order off the menu if you don't want to be so tempted. ENJOY!!!

I stopped by yesterday just to see what the place was like. Smelled so good I sat down to eat. I had the lunch buffet. The fried chicken and fried fish were fantastic. Lots of flavor, tender, and juicy. The sides were equally excellent, mac and cheese, mash potatoes, and beans. But the most amazing dish was the marinated and deep fried pork chop. It was amazing and worth the meal all on its own. Service was equally excellent. I highly recommend this place as the food is definitely worth it. Thanks for the great meal and service.

This is a nice family restaurant with friendly people and wonderful country food. The bar featured fried chicken, pork chops and fried fish. I had the fried fish which was great. I also had pintos and a corn bread muffin along with the best macaroni and cheese ever. Other items available included black eyed peas, rice and gravy, sweet potatoes, cabbage and some salads. Oh and yummy pickled okra. (I don’t know what soul food is - but this is what I ate growing up in the mountains). I can’t wait to go back and try some of the menu items as well (banana pudding, cobbler etc).

I love to slow down and hear others’ “story.” Jerry, Alec, and I drove into Hendersonville today to eat lunch at Daddy D's Suber Soulfood. We had the blessing to sit with the owner David and conversate. Turns out David “Daddy D” is also a Pastor. He shared with us that the restaurant is an extended family business with family members pitching in to do the work. Been in business 16 years. The true definition of a “Mom and Pop.” We were the last customers of their day, but they treated us as if we were their first. Oh and the fried chicken and Mac & cheese were some of best we’ve eaten. Nice and hot. Thank you Lonnie and David.
