I'd give zero stars if possible. Hands down the WORST Cookout I've ever visited. When you visit be prepared to sit in line for a minimum of 30-45 mins. Nobody takes your order on the speaker and then after that long of a wait it comes out extremely cold, nasty and messed up. As an essential worker myself, I fully understand food shortages and being understaffed but the 2 times I've visited this place it was packed with employees but yet nothing is being done? Thankfully I'm from out of town and I've been a regular at my local Cookout for years and I have NEVER had a complaint about them or others I've visited all over WNC for my job. This location literally blows my mind that it's still in operation. My first visit was over a month ago and I decided to give them one more (& last) chance today and the exact same thing... Terrible service and the first time I visited the entire staff was just staring at a milkshake for like 5-10 mins. I'm no rocket scientist but they all seemed high out of their mind. Personal opinion, I'm all for that being legal (no judgement) but nobody should be like that while working! This place honestly needs to be completely retrained or temporarily shut down.
Best milkshakes anywhere, 40 flavors! Food is so-so EXCEPT corn dogs and chili dogs, which are totally delicious and satisfying and extremely reasonably priced! Also open to 2am, wonderful for restaurant workers who get off late or anyone else who gets the late night munchies! I will drive the extra mile to get their shakes and dogs!
The food is amazing. The line for their drive though did take a crazy long time. But it was worth it as soon as you get your food. I will definitely be going there again
Never been to Cook Out so I wanted try it out. This location is horrible. I sat at window for 5+ minutes after ordering. No one came to it. So I pulled to the other window and they said I came to the wrong window and that I was suppose to stay at the previous one. I asked them if I could just pay and get my food there, they said and that I had to get back in the line ( which had 7+ cars behind me). I then asked if I could come inside to get it. She said that she’d meet me at the door to open it. So I parked and walked to the door and waited for about 2-3 minutes and no one showed up. A couple employees just looked at me. I just ended up leaving. So a waste of time during a lunch break
Not my favorite...I like the milkshakes, but the drive thru is slow and the employees are not pleasant, bordering on surly...every single time I have been there. I got a tray with a grilled chicken sandwich, which wasn't bad, but they gave me about four little onion rings with it, and you could barely find the onion in them. Think from now on I will stick to Chick Fila.
We’ve been to this location frequently since it opened. Always bad service but we keep hoping, one day, they’ll get it together. Recently, it has been that we pay more for our food and get less. Burgers are so small now that I refuse to get them anymore. My wife and I both ordered cheese fries, I mean, less than 10 fries with a tiny bit of cheese, on a double order of fries??? Capitalism! Raise prices and get smaller portions. Service is always terrible. Every time we go to this location, our order is incorrect, getting only the drinks right, and that isn’t always the case, either. If you want to be mistreated by employees, have your entire order made incorrectly, and pay more for less, this is the place for you.
I understand supply shortages I really do but when you Jack your price up and then give a pathetic amount of food it’s no excuse. I’ve noticed the portion sizes getting smaller and smaller recently but this was ridiculous.6 cheese curds and a sad amount of fries. The chicken in my sandwich was so flat it was pretty much just breading. We were still very hungry after eating, waste of money and time. Also the cheese curds were very undercooked and barely room temperature inside.
The service was really quick on a Sunday afternoon. The peanut butter banana milkshake did not have any banana and was not discovered until we were back on the interstate. Peanut butter and vanilla ice cream only is not tasty. The rest of the food was good.
Not sure what happened since this place is usually consistent. But today I pulled into the drive thru and first was told to hold on... I waited about 10 minutes (as I was already sandwiched between two cars) and finally got someone on the speaker. Ordered my meal and then sat behind two cars for about another 10 minutes... Finally the two cars in front got their meal. I pulled up to the window and then paid. Was told it would be right out... Sat there for another 20 minutes while the cashier walked off, nobody was even in the kitchen area. Said forget it and drove off. Totally unbelievable service. Wish I could give 0 stars because I didn't even get a meal.
Delicious food, served hot, and fast from friendly staff. The drive through situation is as a little weird with the second lane cutting off the first, so definitely need to pay attention to avoid blocking other lane. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the mood for some less than healthy food but want better than average quality fast food. Great price point too!
