First of all I want to just say I’m giving a restaurant a 3/5 start review not because their food wasn’t great their food was excellent and the atmosphere felt like you were in a Mexican town so that was great however on their menu they have a little spiel that says we are raising prices because of inflation a whole bunch of other things that three dollars will be added to each dinner, but come to find out that wasn’t really what was happening they charged us the three dollars extra for the meal per said on the menu but they also didn’ttell us about the drink prices went up adding a dollar to each drink and then they charge me $1.50 for sour cream without telling me plus $1.93 charge convenience fee for using a debit card without being noticed and I said in another persons review I would’ve gladly paid cash… to top this off the manager sat there and argue with us about how he said the prices were fluctuating when the menu said three dollars will be added to every meal not drinks not etc. itemsSo all in all for 2 people the bill was an extra $10 that I was not expecting because the menu just said there was going to be a three dollar charge not a $10 charge.. I really like the restaurant overall the staff was friendly in my mind the manager was kind of a jerk and could’ve handled the situation better rather than sitting in arguing with customers not saying he lost customers but won’t be going back anytime soon
We went to community yard sale there...and,as always the retirees are very friendly to all! The community is still a nice place..although it is showing some 'wear and tear' from the many years in existence. But it has comfortable feel to it..and certainly isn't 'rundown'...has evolved into more of a neighborhood as opposed to a summer rental as it was at one time. Very pleasant place with friendly neighbors and wonderful location close to town!
The food was average. But my main reason for a 3-star review was because we were charged a 'card convenience fee' of more than $1. We were not made aware of this at any point during our experience, and would have gladly paid with cash to avoid it. There was signage all over the restaurant and the menus about meal price increases but there was zero signage about this. We will not be coming back.
I love spinach, so I ordered a spinach burrito. The greens were nothing I had ever seen or tasted before and were very tough. So I'm pretty sure it wasn't spinach. And the mild salsa tasted like they added equal parts water:tomatoes. I'm sure they are cutting corners to save money right now. But It was a huge letdown. I'm sure alot of their menu items are still good. I've eaten there in the past, and it was very good. But I'm not certain I will go back after that experience.
Food was unauthentic. Server was nice enough but clearly didn’t comprehend how awful this food is. It is catered towards a demographics of people that have no idea how Mexican food should taste or be cooked. Chicken was hard, guacamole was discolored; and every element of this place was gross and unimpressive. I don’t typically write these types of reviews and I sincerely apologize for doing so. Please don’t eat here.
We went to Cocula restaurant after church today. We got there at 12.30 and ordered our food. At 1:20 i ask about our food and advised them we had a meeting at our church at 2:00. At 1:40 we still did not have our food. I asked again and told them that they needed to make our orders to go.The Management gave me a hard time. I then told him if we didn't have our food by 1:50 we was leaving. When we got our food ,mine and my wife's food wasn't prepared the way we ordered it. Don't think i will be back anytime soon. There were 8 people that had to wait till almost 4pm to eat our cold food.
This place is a gem. Abuelita’s chicken soup is my favorite. Soooo delicious especially if you’re feeling under the weather or just want a light, nourishing meal. The fajitas are also excellent.
Service has always been excellent each time I go here. Food is excellent as well. A big thank-you to the staff & manager there for providing an excellent meal & place to relax after work.
