We’re somewhat local (Tryon, NC) and have been to Brooks Tavern many times. It’s ALWAYS excellent! While so many dishes on the menu are wonderful, we have to give props to the fried mushroom appetizer, Smash burger and the Monte Cristo sandwich. The whole staff is super friendly and attentive, providing excellent service. We highly recommend Brooks Tavern to locals and visitors to the area.And the Giggle Water will make her giggle…
Omg! My tummy is super happy! My boyfriend and I decided to share two meals. We had the BLT and the Black and Blue burger and both were RIDICULOUS! Brittany our server was on point with the entire experience. She recommended a strawberry zombie beer that was also delicious. I forgot about taking photos of my food before hand but the plates should tell you the tale of an excellent experience. I couldn't get down anymore for dessert
We went here because the restaurant we wanted to visit was closed. The cocktail my husband had was very small and weak for $10 ++. I ordered chicken tenders which were not seasoned on top of a large amount of almost cold fries. I didn’t bother telling them about the cold fries because I didn’t want a whole plate recooked. A few hot fries would’ve been nice to be served in the first place. The server was very nice in general and I didn’t want to ruin the lunch. I would not recommend this place.
Ate here two times to enjoy the delicious food. It was nice that it was a block off Main St so we could find seating without waiting. It’s a smaller place but we were still able to get seated, even splitting up at the bar versus tables.
What an incredible burger. I saw the rest of the broad menu, and there were lots of other interesting things, but I will probably have to get a delicious burger every time we go there! Friendly service too. We will definitely be back.
Nice small local little tavern. We got there shortly before the dinner rush so we didn’t have a long wait for anything. Service was very attentive and friendly. We started with the jalepeno poppers. Sorry no photo. They were excellent and we devoured them quickly! Highly recommend. I got the Cobb salad. Nice portion and the dressings were excellent ! (I tried blue cheese and the ranch). My husband got the Turkey, apple, Brie sandwich. He is adventurous. It was definitely different. It was good. Strong flavors, but he probably wouldn’t get it again. We both felt like you probably couldn’t go wrong with anything you ordered here.
A great first experience with my MIL, who lives here, and she'll be coming back. I had 'The Brooks', the deviled eggs, and the Caesar salad with beautifully grilled chicken. She had the blackened chicken wrap and loved it.
Stopped in for a light lunch and a drink while on vacation. The turkey Brie sandwich was delicious, as were the fries. Will be back for another! Clean place, friendly staff. We enjoyed chatting with the bartender. Prices were very reasonable.
Lunch or Dinner. A cozy option with carefully crafted pub food that stands out. The fried chicken sandwich is soaked in pickle juice for an incredible briney flavor - subtle but delicious. My only complaint was the portion size of the side of potato salad; a tad small. Overall, a great spot with rich wood surfaces, friendly staff, and good food. And, a great spot to work on the next book.
