This is the 1st time I have ever posted a review on anything. My wife and I ate their last night. Friendly staff. The food was just not good. I ordered the fried shrimp and scallops with coleslaw and French fries. The shrimp was over cooked. I had one spoonful of the coleslaw and it was not moist. I can’t exactly say what was wrong. My wife ordered the clam strips. She ate them but said they were not good. Then the crabs my wife ordered came out. She tried to eat them but they were not seasoned. At this point I asked the manager to refund me for the shrimp. As a comprise she refunded the clam strips. We left their almost as hungry as when we arrived. We went to another restaurant for wings. I will say the scallops were good. I do wonder with most of the negative reviews surrounding the food not being seasoned, why that has not been addressed. Our original cost including tip was $69.00. That’s to much money to spend at a restaurant for sub par food.

This place has the potential to be great but there are some issues:-breading on fried shrimp is too thick..it's like eating little doughy shrimp biscuits...-Staff needs training..they are very polite BUT they don't know the product..most questions are answered.."I'm not sure"...this kills sales-teach them bagging symmetry, so product doesn't tumble and spill (shecrab soup)-steamed crabs had no seasoning even though I asked and was told that they would-develop a way to secure shrimp tacos in Togo plateReally hope this place makes it!!!

I can't in good conscience recommend Washington Crab. We had no idea it was counter service when we chose to go there, but the best part of our experience was the service. Props to Dell who was exceptionally pleasant & helpful regarding the menu. We both got fried food...it was all greasy & bland. Shrimp & fish were overcooked, crab cake wasn't. Although they call them "Bay French fries," they were fried fresh out of the bag & there was zero seasoning on them. The coleslaw was awful. The hushpuppies were probably the best thing we ate. The fried pickles were good, but also greasy & the remoulade was good! I saw some shrimp tacos & some steamed shrimp that looked good. Maybe steamed is the way to go there. We MAY go back & try those. It's questionable.

Love it I would definitely recommend this place for somewhere relaxing nd very friendly staff r awesome

We ordered the crab boil and it was over cooked. Shrimp could at least have been deveined. The manager came out and was talking very loudly with employees and other customers, constantly taking about herself. She made it hard to enjoy being in there. We were extremely disappointed in this experience and will not be back.

Ate here tonight specifically because they advertise that their seafood is fresh and local. The fried shrimp were like rubber, scallops were greasy, and the seasoned French Fries were terrible (and not a shred of the seasoning). My son got the fried catfish and it was greasy as well. Very disappointed in “Washington Crab Company”tonight

Horrific!!!! They are nothing like the one in Washington, NC. I was the only one there for most of the time and that should've been a red flag right there. I had some scrawny crab legs that were supposed to have been steamed and they were ice cold at the ends where the body is broken off and some of the legs. Their sweet potato dish was funny tasting, also, and they had the nerve to be expensive. I told them and they offered to reheat those scrawny legs but I had lost my appetite. The oysters were ok but not the best I've had compared to the one in Washington NC. I tried to give them a chance but no way will I ever go back there.Dixie Queen in Winterville, NC is still the ruler so far.Horrendous! Very disappointed!

The only thing good was the sweet tea. I got shrimp and grits. My mother good the kids meal with chicken strips, sweet potato casserole and green beans. My shrimp and grits were not hot, not cold, just room temperature at best and the meal itself was very dry. My mom's meal was also room temperature. The food we received was not good. Not worth the $30 spent. I don't think we will come back for a very long time. Willcheck reviews before returning for sure. Anything under a 4 is not good.

clean environment but the food was not up to par at all, the crab dip chips were not fully done, the scallops were mushy and disgusting and the catfish (cajun flavored) was not good at all.. only thing that was decent was my fries and salad. server was nice but overly talkative, i could barely even enjoy my food because she kept interrupting my meal talking to me. nice staff but let them know to not aggravate the customers. won’t be returning.

Ate here Sunday 12-19-21. They had to have had a sewage problem, it smelled of feces covered by bleach. Fresh caulk around the toilets and the wrong kind at that. Only thing edible was the fries. When asked how was the food i replied "not very good" and she replied "everyone has different taste buds" and walked away. Fish was rubbery and overcooked. I wasted 30$ on crinkle fries i can get for 5$ at the market. The cocktail sauce was horrible. My kid and I love cocktail sauce but we walked out having drank water. This place was great when it first started but now captain d's tastes better. Won't come back.
