Me and wife went last night for our 10 year anniversary. First time...read the reviews...we dressed up a little...and made reservations. We thought this was going to be a little more of an upscale establishment and boy were we wrong. I thought since reservations were required other folks would be dress up a little...but we were wrong. Several couples were dressed nice but others had gym clothes on. The furniture was out dated and certainly needed to be updated...the booth that we sat in was broken...we could feel the spring pushing out. The mens room was like that of a Burger King. Dirty and smelly. Overall appearance would be a 1 out of 5.Now to the service and food. EXCELLENT. Graham was our server and was outstanding. Recommended some great food options. The hibachi steak and shrimp were excellent. We got two different order of Sushi because it was a buy one get one. I've lived in Japan years ago and had really good fresh sushi...and i'd give this a 9 out of 10.Overall...not a bad place. They shouldn't require reservations IMO...and they really need to work on the appearance.
Never ordered. The fish tank smelled awful, and looked disgusting. The entire restaurant was dirty. It's been several years since I've been, but use to love this place. Must be under different management.
I've NEVER ordered takeout before and had a bug cooked into my food, I want to vomit up what I did eat.
I don't know what happened to this restaurant. It has been some time since eating here. The waitress spilled a whole glass of water on me. Of course, it was an accident. She was very apologetic. The food was subpar. I ordered Philly 88. It was Steak Ums. My husband ordered Hachimitsu Chicken. Just call it General Tso Chicken. My son's sushi was ok. The wall mirror looked like a child with dirty hands cleaned it and the fish tank needed to be cleaned. I would not recommend eating here at all!!! Note, the sanitation score was 94. My fault for not checking before entering.
Awesome sushi, and the pad thai is the best I have ever eaten! Great date night spot!
I enjoyed everything. One of the best places I've had that serves sushi! Definitely recommended. Alcoholic beverages could have been a bit stronger. Tasted very much like some juice.
Immaculate, next time I am in town this is where I will be going from now on … the GREATEST sushi/ food/ service/ atmosphere! Tristan was our server and one of the BEST out there, thank you g.-Ashlynn n Anthony
I am very disappointed. I ordered two rolls of sushi and had 2 hairs on my plate under my sushi. They refused to give me a discount because it was already buy one get on free. I spent $20 on sushi with hair on it! Ridiculous. Look at picture for proof .
I am disappointed to say that this place has changed a lot. When the original owner had it, it was a place you dress up nice and hang out with your friends at the bar or sit down at a table. Wife and I walked in a little over dressed. The waitress didn’t know much about the menu or the special. The salad was soggy. The sushi tasted good, however, the rolls were small. We bought two rolls each, still walked out hungry. And finally, they didn’t have enough staff to clean up the tables after it was used. There were at least 6 tables dirty throughout our experience.
Me and my boys went here after a movie on a Sunday evening. Even though they were busy, ee were seated immediately. Our server was super sweet and attentive, and the food arrived pretty fast. They serve more than just Japanese food, and have a cool fusion menu. There are some Thai and Korean options as well. I wasn't a huge fan of their miso soup, but everything else was really good (we had sushi, firecracker chicken, hibachi, and lo mein). Prices were on par with most Japanese steak houses, and they even had BOGO sushi that night. We enjoyed ourselves and will definitely return.
