A friend and I had lunch at the Seahorse this past Wednesday. We both had the Fried Chicken which is the best in NC. They also have the best Homemade Cakes imaginable! I had some mashed potatoes and green beans left and I was kindly provided a take out container to take both home to eat the next day. I dropped the container on the floor while trying to put it in a take out bag at the pickup area. The owner was standing there and without hesitation gave me a new takeout container with entire fresh servings of mashed potatoes and green beans. He is a Trained Professional as well as an extremely kind person! This is just one example of many as to why this restaurant is always packed!! The servers are awsome as well!
The Seahorse Steakhouse is located in the outskirts of Greenville NC in a unremarkable strip center. It was obviously a local place with a fairly large menu. From sandwiches to filets. There were two dining rooms, and I never saw community seating. All the tables I saw were individual. The food coming out going to the tables looked so appealing and appetizing. Everyone was tearing the food up. Huge portions, equally huge potatoes, and the dessert cakes were unimaginably giant and delicious looking, and tasting. You could tell they were homemade. Prices of the desserts were unbelievable affordable. The entrees were delicious and the beef offerings were prime beef. Yes, they were appropriately priced. Not cheap, but we’ll worth the price. The sides were amazing too. There were the typical sides associated with a steakhouse, but they also had great vegetable offerings. Salmon was served sizzling on a cast iron skillet. It was awesome. I read some of the other negative reviews and all I can say is, I don’t know what they were expecting. It’s a Mom and Pop local restaurant specializing in grilled food particularly beef, but it also offers seafood and chicken and other entrees. If you can’t find something delicious and satisfying at the Seahorse, something’s wrong with the consumer. Ask for Monica to wait on you. Her customer service was spot on and she knew the menu and what to suggest. If you’re looking for great food in a non pretentious atmosphere, go to The Seahorse. It’s not cheap, nor is the food. It’s definitely worth the price, although there are price points for every budget. You can tell by the quality and taste of the food that it’s prepared with love! Go to the Seahorse, you won’t be disappointed.

Both ny strip and founder were excellent. Cake was awesome and enough for 3 but 2 of us managed, barely. Fried okra was crunchy like my grandma used to make. Service was excellent and punctual without hovering or interrupting.
Although a bit crowded we were seated quickly. Had fast service and the food was excellent. Prices are very fair. A most enjoyable meal.
First time going there, my husband and I both had seafood. It was really good and hot. Service was great and the cakes are awesome. Will definitely be going back.
Excellent ribs, shrimp, and okra! My sister's ribeye steak was cooked to perfection and very tender.
We went for the first time tonight, and it was prime rib night. It was absolutely delicious, and our service was great! We will definitely be going back to try some other things on the menu.
Absolute best steaks in town. I am a beef lover and have tried their steaks several times. They are awesome. Just tried the prime rib saturday night and it was very good as well! Love this Restaurant
The food was so good and the meat was so tender and juicy. The people was so nice and friendly. Not a long wait at all.
