My boyfriend and I have gotten a few pizzas from this location and they’ve been ok, not great - not what you’d expect from Mellow Mushroom. Tonight we ordered a basic, large pepperoni pizza (which took over an hour) and it honestly tasted like a DiGiorno frozen pizza… the sauce and cheese tasted fake. The crust somewhat resembled Mellow Mushroom’s style but it didn’t taste the same. Not sure if they changed ingredients recently but we won’t be returning anytime soon.

Although this establishment has been in my “backyard” hometown, my first meal happened when I ate at the one in Atlanta, Ga. And now, the hometown establishment gets my business. I LOVE THE JERK WINGS!!!! The seasoning is everything. It’s a shame I had to travel to appreciate something that’s been in my hometown all this time!!! Whelp, just another reason to travel. The children can enjoy outdoor play as well.
The Buffalo chicken pizza is out of this world! So good! And the pretzel bites with beer cheese was amazing!! Definitely understand the hype for Mellow Mushroom! Will be ordering again and I highly recommend this place!
Update (couple years later): unfortunately, mellow has become a little too Mellow!! Management has seriously wrecked what used to be a decent mediocre lunch spot. Everything from food to music selection seems just lacking. Prices aside the quality of food is just declining. It's still worth a visit but tamper your expectations. Bar is always exceptionally well staffed.

I first saw Mellow Mushroom in Wake Forest. New Years Day, I decided to go the one in here. Love their Philly steak and cheese pizza. And looking forward to come here again. Cowboy boots on the floor mat
