Heard great things so maybe everyone just got my hopes up. Fair drink deals. Environment is definitely college based, so not my cup of tea. Bartender was not friendly, so perhaps he’s having an off night.

Any sub 5-Star review of this bar was either done by a socialist, a bot, or a Russian troll. While other bars in greenville come and go, club 519 has always been there to help celebrate move in weekends, home comings, and numerous graduations. The floor is stickey, and the TVs are still CRT models, but that’s not why you go there. You go for the college atmosphere and memories that will be passed along to your grand children. My name is written on that wall in more than one place and I’ve been dragged out of there more than I care to admit. Don’t bother going for lunch, they’re not open. This is strictly a bar with a mean music play list. Hope you’re shoes are tied on tight and your phone battery is over 50%. It’s going to be a long night.

This is the greatest bar in the history of the universe. It molded me during my formative years at East Carolina University. Many a nights were spent on the dance floor, singing with my best friends ... Are you gonna TAKE ME HOME tonight? Ah, down beside that red firelight!
I once saw a guy pick up a chair and attempt to fend off angry bouncers. He was then subsequently Spartan kicked out the door... Was it Overkill? Maybe... But they run a tight ship here.
