Simply awesome. Not only was service exceptional, but I cant think of any coffee place within 400 miles that does pour over or French press options of freshly roasted coffee beans. Can't wait to come back.

Enjoyed my visit to Blackbeard in the heart of the ECU Pirate Nation. As an alumnus of ECU, the coffee, conversations and fun reminded me of my days in Uptown Greenville, which looks great and should be the envy of college towns and cities all over the State of NC. Shout out and love from the Class of 1987. And a salute to the world from my old college place on South Elm, the internationally renowned "Swindell Motel"!!!
Blackbeard is a great place to get coffee when you are near uptown. They have a wide selection and do a wonderful job of making each coffee to order by the customer. The atmosphere is great for doing computer work, meeting friends, or enjoying a seated coffee break in between work. I suggest going mid day if you are staying in, but it is always fast and friendly service. I always recommend to locals or new people coming into town.
