ZC Hawaiian BBQ is a pretty solid place if you want to try a different restaurant in Greensboro. I recommend the spam musubi, which is simple but delicious!
Something happened here and something changed. The meat is way too salty, also they use different meat. At least I got total different type of food this time, though my order has always been the same.
I was totally grossed out!!!! Everyone that entered the restaurant must have a mask on, including the employees except the cook did not wear a mask he actually coughed in my food. I thought there is a mandate in Guilford County about Masks, Not ZC Hawaiian. I could not eat the food I ordered I also asked for my money back they refused. I know he coughed in my food and probably other customers as well. I would go there at least once a week, will not go there ever again.
An expansive and delicious menu with very reasonable prices! The Pineapple Chicken is easily my favorite. I haven't been in a while, but look forward to any future visits!
Food and customer service was not the best. Employees didn’t seem happy to be at work. I ordered the katsu and garlic shrimp. Katsu was okay but the shrimp I wouldn’t order again one it didn’t look appetizing and the portion was small. Macaroni salad was very soggy and chewy. Not sure if I would return. Wish there was another Hawaiian restaurant near by.
Not a fan anymore. Used to go in 2019 and get the pork buns all the time. They were delicious. I came in today for lunch and they don’t have them. I asked what happened to them. Instead of them saying “we don’t make them anymore” they said they never sold them in the first place even though I used to order them once or twice a week. Food was good otherwise. Place is very clean and quiet
I tried this place about a month ago and the food was very good, very flavorful. As a fairly recent transplant to NC, I'm not really a fan of NC BBQ (please don't hate). I didn't receive super warm and fuzzies from the staff (my order was a pick made through DoorDash), but that won't stop me from ordering again. Based on my experience, I highly recommend ZC Hawaiian BBQ.
The food is good. That’s not my issue with the place. I used to work in downtown Greensboro and would go there weekly. Recently, I decided to call in a pick up order and have my friend go pick it up as he was closer than I was. It was close to half an hour before close, so worst case scenario they told me they weren’t taking orders anymore. But that is not what happened- I called, they took my order and I PAID in advance. Barely 15 minutes later I get a call complaining that they’ve been waiting on me. I only placed the order 15 minutes ago, so unless they were giving me old food, I find that attitude uncalled for. I went out of my way to eat local at a place I enjoyed and got a rude experience in return. If they felt that way, they could have declined my order and saved us both the trouble that evening. I could also see the attitude being warranted had I actually kept them waiting and did not yet pay. But I made sure for them to take my payment on the phone because I wanted to let them know I did not intend on wasting their time and appreciated them taking my order. I won’t be going out of my way for this business anymore. Three stars seems too high for the experience I got- but I did and do enjoy their food. Just not going to support rude treatment moving forward
The best. Im from augusta ga And when I come in to North Carolina this is where I go for the best Hawaiian food sometimes I even try to get something To take home with me on my long drive back
Amazing things happen when you talk to locals. We were in town for a concert at Steven Tanger Center when we chatted with a local resident and she directed us to her favorite local place that served her native food of Hawaii and we jumped at the chance to try some of our old Hawaiian favorites. We originally fell in love with Poke in Hawaii and ZC Hawaiian BBQ made us feel like we crossed the Pacific again. The freshest of freshest Poke one could ever ask for. The added spice made it even more delicious. The seaweed salad was spot on. The accompanying rice was fluffy. The Hawaiian macaroni salad was yummy. The kimchi was perfectly balanced with spice and crunch. A wonderful surprise in this small shopping center. Will be back again. Thank you Hawaiian BBQ for a delightful lunch!
