I no longer live in Greensboro but I still go to yum yums when I'm in town because I like it! It's a local business that's great for college students getting together or three generations of a family. Last time I was there I saw a little girl taking her first ever sip of cheerwine, from a glass bottle. The hotdogs are good and the ice cream is great and the people are the best! Go check it out.

Great place for a quick meal...if you want hot dogs and ice cream. Delicious ice cream made on property. The hot dogs are boiled and pink, but bring back fond childhood memories! Yum Yum has been a staple of the UNCG and Greensboro community for many, many years. A great place for a taste of nostalgia.

Yum yums is an institution here in Greensboro. Great hot dogs and amazing ice cream. A true family experience and great for anyone with a tight budget. If you are visiting town, then go here otherwise no one will believe you went to Greensboro.

Yum Yum has been a family tradition my whole life! Their banana ice cream is to die for and their hot dogs, well, you have to experience them! The cone in the photo is a kid’s cone! They serve so much in the cone, I can’t even eat the small cone!

After walking from downtown Greensboro, I decided to walk towards High Point (home) while trying to reach my brother for a ride. I took Spring Garden St through UNC-G's campus. So I stopped at Yum Yum and ordered 2 hot dogs and a Cheerwine soda. While there my brother called and met me there. All the workers are friendly and attentive. The food was just as it has always been, very good. We even ordered ice cream that made the experience even better ?! So glad that I finally reached my brother and we stopped at Yum Yum.

THE best ice cream I have ever eaten!! There’s a reason this place has been open for over 100 years! Conveniently located on UNCG’s campus, so a short walk for students. They offer hot dogs, soda, and chips as well, and everything is priced low. Indoor seating is available now and they’ve started taking cards as payment. Highly recommend this place for anyone who visits Greensboro!

Great food and ice cream.

The prices they charge are not the ones reflected on the menu. Not sure why this is so difficult to change. Staff acted surprised and just laughed when I asked how I was supposed to know a price change when it’s not on the board and no one told me. Been going here for many years and have not been very impressed since the management change.Since I can’t respond to the owner below. I asked for a pint of a common flavor (that is almost always in pints and listed on board as 4.00) and the girl at the counter said they were out but that she could hand pack it for me (no mention of upcharge and price is not on the board). After she had packed it I was charged 5.50 for the pint and asked why? She said it was the same as a large cup, but the menu board list a large cup as 4.35. Again the workers had no response and just said that’s the price of packed pint. If I had known this I would have just ordered a large cup (more ice cream for less). The failure to list proper prices and communicate them to customers is a fail of this business and the failure to acknowledge this mistake in their reply is an even more arrogant mistake.

I have been going here since I was a kid and it’s still just as good! Two hot dogs all the way with a Cheerwine in a glass bottle is the perfect lunch followed by some ice cream made in store. Plenty of seating inside and outside ya great for people watching on nice days.

Let me preface this review with I have been visiting this place since I was 5 years old in 1981. Hence the 4 stars. It holds a lot of nostalgic value for me. I no longer live in this town but visited there for the first time in a long time. The 4 stars is earned by the ice cream. The hot dogs are garbage but seem to pair so well with the Cheerwine and Ice Cream. It is a culinary anomaly that defies all senses. The franks are bottom of the barrel red hots that I assume soak in their own juice which gives them this red ring after you bite through them. It is strange. They are definitely not all beef franks. But, when you pair a ‘all the way’ hotdog with a couple of scoops of their butter pecan and a can or glass bottle of Cheerwine those hot dogs take on a whole new level. Anyway, do not let my review stop you from visiting. The place has not changed since the first time I visited over 41 years ago. It’s like stepping back in time for me.
