This is our go-to Japanese/sushi restaurant. It’s by far our favorite in the Greensboro area. The appetizers, teriyakis, rice & sushi are all SO good. We order to go a lot but today (Mothers Day) we dined it. Food was fast, service was good & they gave out roses to mothers. So sweet!
My group and I came into Wasabi on a busy Saturday night. Our waitress was kind and amazing, the food came out surprisingly fast, and everything was delicious! 5/5 would recommend and I would definitely come back. Try the avocado boat for the appetizer, it is so delicious!
Ordered the combo sushi for my sons birthday and was impressed so came the next day with my wife on a date night. Peeples took care of us and was very hospitable and personal. Had teriyaki chicken and was pleasantly surprised at the quantity of food I received. Meal was great and overall had a great experience. We will be back.
Sushi is ok. Bento boxes are fully recommended. Lunch specials are nice and they run from 11 to 3 pm but the real good stuff and rolls are not included in the specials. Prepare to spend and eat good. Service was very nice too!
I'm not sure if this was the same owner as the one on W. Market St before as their menus are identical. I have been here quit a few times. Everytime I do come, I'm sadden to why the place is always almost empty. This restaurant has really good food and their sushi is amazing. My favorite dishes to try are the Heart Attack, Baked Mussels, Monkey Brain, Avocado boat and all the sushi. I did get the kids chicken nugget once for my son, he and i weren't really a fan of. It was more of chicken strips dipped in tempura battered and fried. But aside from that, every thing was good. My opinion of the only downfall for this establishment is their wait staff. They don't greet you upon entrance and also doesn't provide excellent customer service throughout your dine in experience. The girls look young, and seems too "chilled/lazy" while being at work. A little more effort in their work ethic and this would be an outstanding restaurant to dine.
This place makes good sushi indeed. I have consistently been a loyalist since they were located in west market . Sushi still good but I do have to say that they have raised their prices quite considerably and sadly enough the size of their rolls has become smaller and smaller over time. Almost 23 dollars for a roll that although it has ten pieces the pieces are cut so small and the fish so thin that is just brutal to justify. I have often thought about changing to another great spot in town that I won’t name because this is not about who’s better and after tonight, I won’t look back. I know prices have gone up all around us and I do understand some price mark ups , a sushi roll for a price of an entree , that I would happily pay if it was a fair price for the serving …. But this is just not. Tasty but very small cuts on the roll and fish cut so thin it almost feels like your being taken advantage of. We are all about saving a buck but you cannot charge this prices and not be fair to the customer .
Very good food, but VERY small proportions for what you pay for! I grew up in California eating sushi my whole life and never have I paid so much for so little. Very disappointing because the food itself is great!! Just not worth the price.
I have no idea how this place has a 4 star rating. My friends and I ordered from here for the first time tonight and received RAW chicken in multiple plates. I called to complain and was told I needed to text a photo of the chicken to the business on my personal cell phone. No offer of a refund, no apology. I then mentioned that I should call the BBB and the person I spoke to then tried to tell me that because they use dark meat chicken it will look different. It makes no difference if it’s dark or not raw chicken is unacceptable for the price point this restaurant charges. Furthermore one of our meals was ny strip and over 80% fat not meat. If I could give 0 stars I would.
Chose this place from lots of options. Arrived and told to seat ourselves, but hard to do bc every table looked dirty. Service was great although It was hard not to be distracted by the servers hair that was down to his hips! Fortunately no hair in our food or drinks. Speaking of food...it was great! Very fresh and arrived quickly. Sake was warm as promised and a large gave me ~6 servings. Would probably not visit again but had a good time.
Terrific food, and you have to try the beef Bulgogi! Their sushi is delicious, the Ramen is spicy, and the service is quick. It is family run, and one of the only restaurants located in this area. I have been eating Wasabi since they were located on Market Street. You need to try it!
