Great service, friendly staff. It’s always freezing in the dine in area making my food cold before I can finish it. The portions are HUGE for what you pay for too which is nice. And the hushpuppies are very good and kinda sweet! Sweet tea is very good as well and the large is HUGE!!
Great staff, fresh food, and reliable as always. I will say this is a particularly good location. It's also worth noting that while this is fast casual/fast food they actually check on you and make sure the food is good and bring it out to you. Very polite staff I have to reiterate.
Chicken great. Service slow. Eating area almost clean, could be better.
Elm-Eugene location steadily getting worse. Tonight, had cold dry chicken. The guy taking orders clearly didn't want to be there. He didn't even make our drinks. Can't wait til the Kernersville location opens. Maybe it will be good for a month or so. Where the Manager was, who knows.
So I will admit their food is pretty good. I do think it’s very pricey though. I wish they had better sides. Their food is like picnic food. It’s what you would take to a cookout, reunion or some type of outing.
This place has always been some where I stop going home. This is the second time I have been disappointed. This place has fell off. I call to speak with manager and I'm left on hold. I go in line with no one in line to purchase bar b que meal. Hush puppies were hard the bar-b-que sandwich just fell apart because it was so wet from coleslaw. I finally just hung up. They were not busy as usually so why give me hard hush puppies and a sloppy sandwich
Smithfield’s has always been our go to for great fried chicken, however we were totally disappointed tonight. The chicken was hard, tough and had obviously been sitting under a heat lamp for hours! We continued to eat it thinking the next piece would improve and it didn’t get any better. My husband went to throw our trash out and stopped by the counter to tell the employee how horrible the chicken was and he had nothing to say. This was at the Fernhurst location and approximately 6:30 in the evening. After getting home, I called back to the restaurant to speak with a manager and after being put on hold for 10 plus minutes I hung up and went to the reviews. It was nasty and I really think at this point I will not be chancing Smithfield’s again. Shame on you Smithfield for pushing old, overheated hard chicken off on your loyal customers.
It was pretty good . Hot dogs were good.chicken was delious tea was good the 3 days IV been there.potatoe salad and hush puppies.tra was good the first day.bit the second day the you lady made tea it wasn't sweet it was horrible.was upset about that to be a large cup . Other than that it was fine .
Smithfields does not smoke their meats no wood is used, it is cooked in a large oven. Slow, low , and smoked are required for something to be considered BBQ/barby/barbies. I smoke and Im a North Carolinia, this is a disappointment. Not to mention they repeatedly got our order wrong.
We dined in and received fast and friendly service. They have a great staff on hand. Great chicken and barbecue, and great sides too. Be sure and get the banana pudding for dessert.
