Me and my husband went here to eat because everywhere else like this was an hour wait around us which probably should have said something. I will say the waitress was amazing. She had great energy and was super sweet to everyone.The food was low quality for the price we paid. The shrimp smelled off and the texture was off. The chicken tasted okay but was almost too soft. The corn and the rice had some hard bits and tasted frozen.The atmosphere seemed off, almost unhappy. The chef had no energy, like he was just burnt out. Our chef also did not remember a woman asked for no mushrooms and gave them to her anyway. The other chef next to us did a show and was super talkative and considerate.Overall, I probably won’t be coming back.
Starting by saying I love the food at this restaurant and have been many times.But, Roaches!!!!!!On my last visit, June 25th it was not a very busy day we were seated almost immediately. I was helping our two year old with shoe issues and was the last one to the table. As, I began to sit down, I looked at my plate and saw roaches scatter from underneath and run off the table.Utterly nasty!!At that moment, I told my wife and kids we had to go and we were not going to eat here. I informed the management of the situation.Management informed me that they were aware of the bug problem and have tried to correct it but have had no luck with getting rid of them.They continued to inform me that they will have to find a new extermination company because the one they’re using is not working.I gave them two stars because the food has always been great. But there is no excuse for uncleanliness and especially if you know you have a problem you should work your best to fix it.Not trying to hurt this restaurant’s business but just wanted everyone to be aware of what is currently going on.
I thought that the food here was delicious. I will definitely go back for more.
Customer service overall was good. We however did wait for over 10 minutes after we placed our drink orders to receive them. The chef that served us made up for it with his humor. We had more than enough food for the price and had full take out trays when we left.
When my 3 person party arrived we were told it was a 45 minute wait. No problem. After an hour we checked with them and they said the took another group ahead of us who came in after we did. Finally we were seated. After and hour we were told they were having an issue with another table and we would have to wait a little longer. Then we were finally served. The food was good. But they added a 25% tip on my bill after it took 2 hours to get my food. We arrived at 6 pm and didn't finish until after 9 pm. I will not go back.
Vacationing for the first time in North Carolina and this place was recommended. Decor was cute, service was fast. Chef did his show and it was fantastic
After waiting almost an hour we went to check on our table and was told our party of 5 had already been seated and the host laughed. I told him no we were all waiting outside. They said oh we said someone else ahead of you and laughed about their mistake but offered nothing to help and said it would be another 15-30 minutes. After finally getting us seated with other people who had been waiting almost as long we had to wait another hour for our cook to arrive. Priority was given to the people who had been given our table as they were causing a problem and that party ended up walking out on their bill. The cook had no energy or personality, the waitress gave poor excuses for the waiting. When we got our bill there was a huge gratuity charge on every single check at the table even for the people that only had two meals. Absolutely horrible experience and will not be going back even after years of being a patron. We were told the manager was not there and we’re not told when she would be there. The teens at the host stand were rude and immature. I will take my business elsewhere.
Great food. Chef was fair. Not to talkative like I've seen at other Japanese restaurants. The other thing is they made us wait until our whole party were there before we were seated and the whole room was reserved for our party yet half way through they brought in another party of 8 and sat at the extra grill table without consulting with our host.
This place always seems busy but I was a bit underwhelmed yesterday at dinner. The fun atmosphere wasn't there. Most guests were a little too casual IMO, and the chef just cooked --no tossing food around or other showmanship. The food portions were humongous but everything tasted the same--too much soy sauce on everything I think. Not really worth the cost.
If there was a option for no stars I would definitely not hesitate to leave none. Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had in my adult life in this place. My experiences have just kept getting worst and worst and today made official that I would never recommend this place to anyone. First and for most the rudeness from the greeter started it off as she was literally failing apart on customers. Second the server was non existent. The manager and the cook had to clean up after the hostess.. the cook was very apparent that he was under some type of illegal substance of some sort as he was stumbling and the way he was cooking was not his normal way. Everything that was getting prepared was undercooked so bad that you could still smell the rawness. He was definitely on some type of substance. After the fact that we waited another hour before the cook arrived the food was terrible and all.. then came talking to the manager. This lady was absolutely rude. Threaten us with the cops if we did not pay for soups and salads which was 35 dollars. We did not even eat our food and she even said that she did not care if our kids got sick. If I had that on video there would of been a lawsuit and after I made her aware of what she said she toned down and had other people in her ear speaking in there language. Little girl from the other party that was also walking out was crying with them threatening them with the police as well.. overall the absolute worst experience. I highly recommend for anyone reading this to stay away from the awful place.
