Arrived at this establishment and sat at the bar. Waiting for 10 minutes for service. Was then informed that they were closing for a private event. Granted there was no sign on the door or anything. But the kicker to me was they asked me to please come back but didn't offer me any incentive to come back for wasting my time at this establishment. So honestly I probably will not come back as their other bars and wine bars in town even though I really want to try this establishment.
Mother’s Day outing with my honey, ruined. Waited a ridiculously long time for service/server, only to be told Rioja was closing for a party in less than 10 minutes. At that time, no sign was posted disclosing this information. As we walked out the sever, hastily placed one in the window. We were looking forward to ordering two flights of wine ($30). Turned away, we went down the road to their competitors, Gate City Growlers. Wasn’t even offered a glass of house wine as compensation for or troubles. Won’t be coming back. I wasn’t really impressed with the outdated, dingy decor.*Husband called the day before for reservations, was told NO need for reservations. There‘ll be room for a party of two. Never mentioned being closed to the general public.
Quaint place, locally owned with yummy snacks! Plus you get a discount with your purchase when you buy full bottles.
Choice of wine was fantastic in the bartender gave a great recommendation and let us taste. Their spinach and artichoke dip is fantastic
Great wines, great staff & owner. We always enjoy our visits.
Love this place. I’ll t is our place In GSO have a proper glass of wine .
I was there for wine tasting. The owner was such a nice guy, and the service was amazing. I recommend going there to do wine tasting.
Pre-Covid it was great. Post Covid the cheese plate was terrible. Only one cheese, a few pieces of cut toast, a few walnuts, a few grapes and salame. No assortment.
Great cozy place with a good selection of wines as well as bottles to go. The staff and owners are always extremely hospitable and really value your patronage; that’s what sets them apart.
Great service. Nice, varied wine options.
