This place used to be great. Delicious food, amazing service.Like many restaurants, it feels like they are struggling to keep good people. The food is still great, but the takeout service has become very poor.My last two online orders:* A few weeks ago: missing a taco - didn't call or go back as it wasn't worth it l, figured it was a fluke* Yesterday's dinner order: missing a whole pick three combo - had to drive back and pick it up. Also - only got two small bags of chips, though I ordered three entrees. The food still (barely) makes it worth it - just make sure you check your order, as the vibe from the front desk staff is that they can't be bothered to do that before handing it off.
Great food and great service by Francisco C! Our favorite weekly place to eat
They sat us quickly for lunch, our server had chips and salsa at the table as soon as we sat, and we had our meals in under 10 minutes. Food was delicious and priced fairly.
Food tasted good. The bad is that the tortillas that came with my wife's dish had a red spot after removing the aluminium foil. The menu can improve. I ordered enchiladas supreme. Top section says comes with rice and beans. At the item of the description says no sides, which i missed. I added the rice and beans for extra $5, so i would suggest increase the price and leave item in that section (where rice and beans are included) or move the item somewhere else.
Rio grande is the best! Me and my fiancé come about twice a week and Francisco always waits on us and is so prompt & friendly!
Stopped in for a light lunch & wasn't disappointed!! Our server was super quick & informative (didn't mind me asking questions) & the food was delicious!! The salsa was some of the best I've had!! I got a Rio Bowl with flaky Maui Maui & the Boo got Sopa's with Chicken! They are following Covid guidelines!!!???????????
One of my favorite places to go since it's very nearby. Great place to relax and enjoy a cold beer and also the food is great 5 out of 5 I recommend it.
Food is good and service is great. Did not give 5 stars because they under pour bug time!! Margaritas are so weak, shots are barely half shots. They definitely save money by skimping on the pour.
The best Mexican food around. We have been here 5 times in the past 3 weeks. Never want to go to another Mexican place in the area after eating here. Gotten something different each time- Pacific burrito, San Diego burrito, tacos Carolina, Hawaiian quesadilla and carne asada. All were incredible. Great refried beans. Salsa and guac very good. Solid service.
Lunch at the Bar: Jess, Bartender, a little busy, but professional, personable, pleasant and runs a clean bar - I’ll have Lunch at her bar anytime (Modelo Negra on tap). Shrimp Fajitas, $17.49, were good with plenty of plump tender shrimp - cheap owner alert: no guacamole on the salad with any of the Fajitas dishes, other dishes get the guac - cheap owner alert: 2 flour tortillas with a $17.49 entree? Que? Como? The Salsa and Chips game is weak: mediocre watery Salsa - cheap owner alert: canned tomatoes? not even going to strain them? Cheap owner alert - uses the cheapest pressed tin food service flatware available; felt like I was using a small child’s fork: spend another nickel apiece and upgrade. Please. Cheap owner alert - drinks/shots are 1 ounce pours, well tequila $5: 25 ounces at $5 per is getting $125 a bottle for a $12 bottle of well tequila. Bonus points: side sauces come in a ramekin instead of a community share bottle, very clean restrooms, to go boxes are not styrofoam, good and plentiful draft beer selection, good atmosphere. I’m most definitely going there again.
