(Little Ari’s Japanese Kitchen, Spring Garden St, Greensboro,NC) This place is awesome, It seems a lot of people also think so. To-go orders seem to be the popular way I eat here weekly. It's a great Japanese restaurant without the typical Japanese table show. The hibachi meals are the best, especially the shrimp
It was my first time here and I had heard great things about it. My food was ok. I thought my rice was a little greasy for some reason. The white sauce was salty and the hot sauce tasted more like sweet ketchup.Service was fair but considering they had so much staff standing around, it should of been better. I will try them again but not so happy with this visit. The people I was with frequent the place and it wasn't the best for them either with the white sauce and poor service.
Friendly staff. Restaurant has a nice appearance. The steamed rice and zucchini were real good. However the chicken was dry and the mushrooms were overcooked and burnt. I asked for no onions and was charged extra. The food shouldn't have been served. Very poor quality control. Bathrooms needed attention badly.
Overall the food is usually pretty good however, the past couple of times we have went for hibachi the protein has been overcooked to the point it becomes tough and charred. My visit today I decided to have the onigiri and intertwined right in the center was a thick long strand of black hair. The rice was slightly mushy and overcooked as well. After finding a piece of hair naturally none of us want to eat the rice anymore. Maybe they have been having off days. This is just something we will consider before returning for a while.
Ate dinner here. Food was a touch more expensive than expected. Selection is good. The restaurant is counter service so there isn't much interaction with the staff. Person at the counter taking orders was having trouble comprehending our requests even though we ordered directly off the menu with one minor request on one dish to withhold onions. Place was pretty clean. Food we had was average for fast food hibachi. Nothing outstanding but adequate. Portions could have been a little larger for the price and quality could be a bit better, but for what it is, it is a good place for a quick bite. They charge for extra sauce and the amount they give you is quite small for the size of the dishes provided.
I love this place. Sometimes I get the hibachi plates, sometimes the Ramen, sometimes if I'm in a mood I just eat rice balls until I feel better. It's a comfortable atmosphere, and the booths have outlets so you can charge your phone or plug in your laptop. This is easily one of my favorite places to eat in Greensboro.
I was heading home from Virginia and found this place. The staff was nice - Like fast food nice, Get your order and go to the next customer as fast as possible. No complaints here.I had the beef curry with fried rice, and the fried shumai. The curry was basic, it had small cuts of beef with rice. There was no veggies. I had one carrot and no potatoes in it. The taste was okay. It had no omakase, just basic curry. For the price - it was fair for the amount of food. The taste left something to be desired.Honestly, I've had better Japanese curry by buying S & B curry roux blocks and making it at home - (even without adding Fuji apple and honey). So there is that. The shumai was okay as well. No sauce, nothing. Just shumai. Again, it was what I would expect to pay for the portion size, it just lacked the flavor I'm used to.For Japanese fast food, this place is decent for the price and for a quick stop. But if you know how this is supposed to taste, you will be disappointed.Bonus points for having Japanese Curry, however, I would not recommend this place for authentic Japanese cuisine. (It's more like a fast food version of Japanese cuisine). Good, but not great.
The food was fair! The menu is very misleading when it comes to purchasing double rice and zucchini and onions. The menu stated add $1 for either. I actually requested both. They charged $1 for the extra rice a nd almost $3 for the zucchini and onions. The menu does not state only [one] one dollar upcharge per order. Customer service could have been better also. I don't think I will be back.
I have been here many times before and the food has been excellent each time; however, this review is about their customer service …. On more than one occasion, I’ve called to attempt to place my order over the phone and the phone either rang and rang with no answer or somebody did answer to say “please hold.” Well this last time , 2/23/22, I called to try to place my order over the phone and someone did answer and put me on hold …. And never came back to the phone … I was on hold for 19 mins… so I decided to drive to the restaurant with the phone still on hold …. and lo and behold , when I get inside, the cashiers/employees are just casually waking around like Alice in wonderland - WHILE I AM STILL ON HOLD…. Unbelievable
idk if it was a bad day or what but the taste was off. My zucchini was charred but super crunchy. I tasted the char in my rice as well. teriyaki chicken was great. salmon was paper thin and overcooked. Ginger sauce was off as well.
