I have eaten here with my fiancé three times and only once was the service just okay, however, the experience I just had here this morning was awful. All the servers had poor attitudes and I witnessed them talking trash about customers who were currently in the restaurant and even watched one server yell at a couple across the restaurant to go wait for a booth in the lobby, at which point that couple just left because it was so rude. On a Saturday morning when they were packed, they were having guests seat themselves resulting in three booths having only one person in them while couples and bigger groups where forced to squeeze into the counter bar or have a long wait time because all that was open were tiny tables for parties of one, which the servers allowed to take up three booths. Even while we were sitting at the counter our waitress never checked in on us and we sat there waiting for the check longer than we waited for our food. The only reason I gave this two stars is because the food was good, that credit being given to the kitchen staff NOT the servers. We won’t be going to this location anymore.
This place is one of the slowest, overpriced restaurant in Greensboro. Coffee is $2.75 a CUP. The waiter never came back to ask me if I wanted more. They got their money out of that one! Slow service, $10.95 for bacon, eggs, grits, and coffee. Stay away from here!
Nice place, really enjoyed my first time here. Food was hot and delicious. They even warmed up the syrup for my French toast.

I discovered this place yesterday, and will definitely be back. The menu was full of Southern comfort foods, which were freshly prepared and delicious. I had an all-the-way cheeseburger with the best "hot chips," and my boyfriend had fried chicken with a salad and fried okra. It took us a while to decide on what to try and we ended up sharing with each other. We will definitely try out the entire menu later; everything was delicious. Also, the wait staff were very friendly and attentive. Overall, a great experience.
This location is always so clean, organized and staffed with great customer service by their support staff! Love the quality of food and customer service! Great people!

Waiters are very quick and very patient as well as very responsive. Very very kind and show emotion, which most employees don't offer the show. The food is also very good, and is one of very few places I have ever gone to that still have hash browns left. I highly recommend it.
I took my mother out for her birthday here at Jake's diner on battleground. After we set down and some one came to give us service she started that it was her and another lady work, yes we felt bad for them. Well as Time went on we notice that there we're a few people that came in after us and was eating. The problem came when there was a serval people that sat down by hide us and received their silver wear and we had nothing, I think the tall lady witch was the person in charge at the time noticed we were looking around and at how she was working cause she had said to the other co worker that she's doing the best she can it's only two of us. So she brought our food to the table, our food was cold my mother didn't have cheese in her eggs so when we said something about the cheese she got smart mouth with my mother and then we asked for silver wear she said we had to wait for it. My mother didn't want her food after that she was very nasty ? with my mom. We did get steak sauce with our order and then she gets mad because I told her my mom didn't want her food anymore and I I would pay for mine and my niece. Man she took the plate and threw it. We had got to go boxes but she was so nasty that we just left our food on the table. So basically I spent $24 for bad service. Yeah I do understand that some places be short staffed don't take that out on the customer. I love eating at Jake's diner. This was my first time coming to the one on battleground. I WILL NEVER EAT AT THAT SPOT EVER AGAIN. I will stick with Holding road.
