I usually eat here when I come in town to visit and I ordered my food and lemonade. I tasted the lemonade and realize that it was spoil and I came back to return the lemonade and the cashier(Michelle) was very rude because I told her about the lemonade. She went to the back and was rolling her eyes because I asked for my money back, so I told her to just give something else like a peach cooler. She need to work on her customer service skills. They were nicer people when I came the last time. Unbelievable....
Great customer service. Greaaaattt food!!! I cannot wait to go back and get some more of their food offerings. If you are like me and don't eat beef or pork, THIS is the place to go! Shout out to Demetrius who put his foot in this peach cobbler!!UPDATE 03/15/2022I took off a star based upon today's experience where I ended up having to order something other than what I wanted because the kitchen was not prepped. Now, what I will give props for is the customer service that was given by Tima and Johnny. However.... Michelle does NOT need to be in the front taking orders NOR in the back on food. If you don't want to provide service, keep it to yourself and do NOT let customers hear you complaining. That is a no no everywhere. Anyway, I'll still patronize because the good outweighs the bad.
I first tried this place at the NC State fair. I fell in love instantly. I live in Raleigh and drove to Greensboro just to get some crack and cheese. It was sooooo good. I dont even eat chopped BBQ but this is another level. Hands down the best turkey BBQ I've ever tasted ?
Great BBQ sandwich and the “Crack-n-Cheese” is as billed. This was first visit but won’t be last, even though I don’t even live in NC.
It was my first time eating here listening to other people about how good it was so me and my husband decided to try it.. worst decision we ordered for a delivery did not come when I called the lady said she seen that it had been delivered when I told her no it wasn’t a man get on the phone and tell me it was a pick up. When I know it wasn’t because I paid for delivery. We get there to pick it up I stayed in the car because at this point I was done with this place. I had show my husband the receipt showing it was a delivery. When he went to get the food the man going to take the receipt off the bag. I will never go here to eat again. Bad business, and the food was bland if you decide to eat from here don’t order for delivery go get it or he will play like it was a pick up and keep your extra money you paid for delivery. Never again got me one time will not do it again. Bad business and attitude when the man knew he was wrong
Please people, DO NOT go off of the reviews! This was my first time hitting the brick & mortar but it took me a while reading the reviews. I haven’t experienced the full menu because I didn’t know they had a restaurant it was just the fair experience. My wait time for a Friday evening at 4:45 was no longer than 15 minutes and I ran to the store after I placed my order. Was I returned to the parking lot they were walking my food out! Only two complaints. Not enough vinegar taste to my BBQ sandwich (I’m from the eastern part of the state) and turkey legs could be a little more tender. But that Mac Crack and turkey neck & gravy…. Wow! Well worth it!
Food was ok, but the amount did not match the price. Almost $12 for the Turkey bbq dinner, was still hungry afterwards and i wasn't really hungry when i got it. Was more like a snack, should definitely get more for the price.
I had Hickory Tree Crack and Mac for lunch and Egg roll and also brought food for a relative from the food truck. The food was terrible!! The barbecue, tasted like vingear, didn't taste any sauce, my relative and several others who brought from the food truck , stated it was not good for the price we paid. The food was really good at one time, that's why I tried it again today. I don't think I will be trying it again anytime soon.
I love the food but always expect a bit of a wait.I arrived at the store on a Saturday evening @ 6:08 pm, just shortly before the 7pm closing time.There was a sign out front that directed customers that only two customers at a time were allowed inside. I waited in my car for a lull in customers but unfortunately that did was NOT happening. Everyone loves the food.So following the instructions on another sign, I placed an online order.The website was user friendly and, even with my spotty cellular service, by 6:13pm, I had received confirmation that my order had been received and would be ready at 6:30pm.At 6:33, I went inside to check on my order. The associate at the counter asked for my order details and confirmed with the kitchen that my had been received and was being prepared.Unfortunately, I did not get the associates name, but she was doing an AMAZING job taking walk-in orders, delivering completed orders to vehicles and all with patience and efficiency.The associate went above and beyond to assist a handicapped customer in a wheelchair. Although driving, it was not an easy task for the handicapped customer to get in and out of his wheelchair from and into his vehicle. The store associate made sure his order was taken and brought out to him without inconvenience to him.My order of Crack & Mac (large) and three orders of Peach Cobbler (1/3 pt size) we’re brought out to my car by 6:45pm.I appreciate the service of the associate who delivered my order to my car as well as the kitchen staff who were obviously just as busy since there was nonstop customers the entire time I was there. Thank you all!Oh yeah, lol, my food was delicious as always.
I had them for the 4th time. This time it was at the fair. The food and service was horrible. The Soul Rolls were undercooked and bland. The Crack and Cheese...was the main reason for coming to the fair. I was very disappointed. The food was put together sloppily. The man threw crackling dust and squirted so much vinegar on my food.I paid 15 bucks for that trash. Maybe it was the fair that caused the underwhelming experience.I will have to travel back to Greensboro to get it properly made. But outside the fair...it's AWESOME!!
