A small market but full of delicious food!! The folks that waited on us were very helpful, offered a taste of several sausages, just a great place. Homemade pasta, meatballs, soups, sauces, just a lovely, yummy market!!
We are new to town and someone suggested coming here and I'm glad they did. Everything is top notch as far as flavor. Staff is very pleasant and the smells are even better!
Great Italian market and sandwich shoppe. Locally made sausages and other meats, be prepared to wait for any of the aged meats, as excellence has to be given time - BUT, well worth the wait time for a hand-made, shop-cured salami, look at the rafters when you walk in if you need a visual on what I mean! The mild, hot and sweet sausages go quickly some days, so if you plan to get fresh made, show up earlier in the day, or you may not find any left. The Traditional Italian side dishes and sandwiches are great, and did not skimp on the good stuff. Make sure to say hello to Giacomo if he is behind the counter. There is also an assortment of imported European kitchen materials to help you add to the sausages you take home to cook up.Bonus, if you grill the hot Italian sausages, and slice them thin, they make a great addition to a spaghetti sauce (the makings of which can usually be found on the shelves at Giacomos). The mild Italian sausages grilled make for a great change up for hot dog nights.
Love everyone and everything!
Giacomo's Italian market, this is like a New York Italian deli, but in a strip mall in Northern Greensboro North Carolina. It is a gem, and the best of the best.Giacomo is really nice and a good business owner. Many years ago, I even worked there briefly during college making sandwiches / serving customers. I got to sample everything and see how it all worked, I cherish that. They make so many of their own things! The sausage and salami are made in house. They make olive salads, fresh mozzarella, tiramisu, fresh baked bread, marinated eggplant, marinated zucchini, roasted red pepper, ...One of my favorites is the hot sopresetta. All of this and more is ridiculously delicious and in the style of Giacomo's hometown/family in Italy. You can order online from:SalamisByMail.com
Our first time experience here was amazing, walking in all you smell is the fresh food. The customer service was outstanding and everyone was friendly, attentive and professional. The fresh tomatoes and mozzarella were to die for and paired perfect with your home made bread. My husband also purchased your home made meat balls and sauce with the cheese ravioli, added his perfect special touch he knows I love and the meal was amazing. We will definitely be back and highly recommend anyone to try this little slice of Italian heaven.
We've been eating Giacomo's offerings either since we moved here, 24 years ago, or since they opened - we can't remember which came first. The food is great, and the service has traditionally been quite satisfactory.BUT, today, we ordered a couple of sandwiches by phone as we usually do, arrived a few minutes later, to a long lineup. The people ahead of me were ordering over the counter, so their food had to be prepared. Two gentlemen were waiting against the wall, for their orders. I walked up to them, asked if they'd mind if I picked up my order (which was visible in the bag atop their cooler). They had no objections, so I went to the register, asked for my order, and paid. Then, I was told, "next time, you'll have to wait in line, OK, buddy?"Luckily, I'd not registered a tip on my Apple Pay, but, no, it's not OK, and there won't BE a next time. If calling ahead doesn't avoid lining up, then we'll order from somewhere else, no matter how good the food is.Prior to the pandemic, they had an order lane and a pickup lane. I understand why, with social distancing, pre-vaccine availability, and the development of the therapeutics, we all put up with inconvenience in the interest of public safety and hygiene. That time has passed, and so has our time as a customer of Giacomo's.
I saw a page review about Mrs Mariel Ramsey and I must confess that She is a good trader and best in her field as they said, She managed my account after I invested $700 I got $6,200 within few day's of investment I was so shocked, with Mrs Mariel Ramsey, your money is 100% secured,. Trust me you have nothing to lose
LOVE Giacomo’s! They have become a Saturday ritual. I always feel like I am in my grandmother’s house when I walk in. The sandwiches and salads are amazing. Nick and the rest of the crew are the best, friendly, helpful and always cheerful. This is market is a real treasure.
This is an excellent italian deli. So far I have only tried the specialty sandwiches but they have an array of take home pastas, sauces, sides, and authentic Italian dry goods. I look forward to trying more of their meats the next time I am there. There is no seating because it is a small market but there is a great park nearby that I like to go eat at after getting my food. The service is also top notch!
