I had the gyro for the first time, cuz it's tough to find a legit gyro in the GBro. The toppings were fresh and great, but the pita wasn't high quality and overcooked. The meat was not freshly carved, but prepackaged gyro meat. So, the staples weren't top notch, but the toppings made it worth trying. I won't get the gyro again, but some of their subs looked up to par.
My first experience dining here was not that impressive. I had the chicken shawarma pita, za’atar fries, tabouli, falafel, & a baklava for dessert. The fries & the tabouli were my favorites. I had never eaten tabouli. I found it to be fresh & very tasty. The shawarma could have been more flavorful. It just tasted bland to me. The baklava was a bit dry. The cashier was nice enough but certainly not going above & beyond. I will return at some point to try other items.
The chicken Shawarma is amazing, best I have had, with a depth of flavor found nowhere else. Falafels were good in labne. And the people are so friendly and helpful.
I had a good experience here. Service was quick and polite. I had their chicken shawarma and it was really good. I'll definitely go back when I pass this way again.
There is little variety, and it is very slow. The place is very dark and cramped and the staff are quite surly. They don’t seem to be engaged. When I asked about the menu they just ignored me and did not help me understand what I was ordering. They have tried too hard to incorporate food delivery apps which makes dining in a nightmare. They are too busy fulfilling orders for lazy people at home than the customers who want to experience the place in person. To further prove my poknt half the seating is blocked off to make an area for deliveries. The food itself is mediocre. The food is very plain and there are not many sauces, and the portions are small. I was left hungry when I left spending 9 dollars for a meal. The place is not built for dining in and to allow delivery apps to clog the store. They need to focus on the people actually eating here. Mythos is just leagues better, the food is much more varied and has more flavor with bigger portions.
I was extremely disappointed with the Lebanese Salad I order. The lettuce was not fresh...... I barely had any lettuce left on my salad after picking it out. I will not be returning.... I hate this because I used to always order from the one on Gate City and I never had that problem...
It’s not to many legit Mediterranean restaurants in the city but they do it right every time. The food always comes out hot and in a timely manner.
Reliable, healthy Mediterranean food served in a squeaky clean environment with friendly service. Warm, informal dining room and great prices.
I appreciate that Ghassan's has several healthy options to choose from. They're vegan and vegetarian friendly too! I picked them from a plethora of food trucks at the festival. Hope these yummy pictures give you a better idea of what they're serving!
It's a nice place with a friendly staff. They make you feel like you're in the right place. The dining area is very clean and has both booths and tables. The booths are separated by plexiglass, for those that it matters to. The food was pretty fantastic, and not the everyday variety...these seem to be authentic Mediterranean meals!
