Nice spot Great atmosphere
A freind and I stopped by after playing golf. First and foremost, they don't have parking for restaurant patrons. It cost $7 to park. The restaurant was empty, and the service was slow. If you don't have a smart phone, you can't scan the menus. Someone will have to tell you what they have. It took 45min to get our meal after the owner/manager asked us when did we order. The food was good, which is why I gave 3 stars. But the truth is, I won't return. I had to go find the waitress for refills. Disappointed.
Had a good time. Only concern was my friend had on shorts and designer slides. They told her she couldn't wear the slides and that she needs to pull down her shorts, thank God she had heels in the car. Once we are in we see a whole bunch of other women with even shorter shorts. (If they bend over I'm promised to see their Va Jay Jay) Then another friend of mine never got her food with us. So we ate in front of her thinking her food was right behind ours. The waitress was very polite but let us know that someone else picked up her order. So they remade it. She was unhappy but nonetheless she got her food and had it to go. The music was great and the vibe was right. Other than those mishaps it would of been a perfect night!
Our server was absolutely amazing! We had a party of 5. She took our orders by memory. Like WOW! That was impressive. The problem came when she bought our orders she forgot mine. She said she was waiting for my fries and it will be right out. Well, I never got my food. The server says that one of the other servers keep grabbing my order. The other people with me were finished eating and ready for their checks. I told the young lady to just put my order in a to-go box. I didn't get the chance to eat my food with everyone else. I was in town visiting and it was my 1st time there. The manager did give me $1.50 off my ticket for the inconvenience.The drink was good!
The daiquiri options are great, besure to check the menu because they can mix flavors to make different type of drinks. I was surprised to see they had an inside restaurant area. The food was good but kind of pricey for basic bar type food. The inside has murals and other great photo options. If you are in Greenbrier and need a place to start your night, I would definitely start here. We were informed that they also have a live DJ after 8pm.
Usually it’s a good time but lately it’s been lackluster and to add insult to injury you can tell they just be hiring anybody. The staff are not welcoming or professional, especially the security! The other local bars are usually a better choice and it’s sad because this is one of the very few black owned. Disappointed…
This place is definitely a vibe. Music is always good. Decor is ?Drinks, both frozen daiquiris & regular, are good and strong. Wings are some of the best in the city.
I visited this place hoping to get a few daiquiris for my friends. I proceeded to leave with them, not knowing that you couldn’t take them with you. The next thing I know I see a woman, who I assume was the manager running outside to take a picture of my license plate. I went in to ask her about it and she nastily said that I’m sending it to the police as soon as you leave. I went to return the drinks as I no longer wanted them and she had a very rude attitude and told me that I knew better and that I couldn’t do that. I told her that I’m from New Orleans where there are daquiri shops everywhere and they’re meant to take out, walk around with them, no one drinks them in the shop. She said well oh well, here in North Carolina we don’t do that type of thing. She saw my Louisiana license as proof that I wasn’t lying and still continued to berate me. It was the rudest that I’ve been treated in a very long time. I will never come here again and once I told my friends about what I experienced, neither will they.
My first experience going to Fat Tuesday was okay.The workers are not friendly and welcoming. They had to manually punch in the numbers for my debit card in order to buy something.Upon arrival everyone was carded. The problem was they thought I was a different person from my id even though the worker scanned it and it went through. That whole process threw the vibe off and he was rude about things. I’ve had my id for well over 10 years….
