Our family has lived in Japan, Europe and various other places abroad and this establishment is on point. I don't think we said a word while we ate our food. Furthermore, it can be difficult to find properly prepared Katsu Don here in North Carolina. We were very happy to find this restaurant for lunch. Furthermore, the service was excellent. The gentleman that took our order and brought the food was wonderful. I will also add that this is a nice quiet restaurant and not overly large. Highly recommended!!

The service was really nice and the place is clean. I loved the decor the food came in. All the food was delicious and a good amount. It is near UNCG campus so there's not that much parking.

Honestly I love the atmosphere and the service they’re great and quick. But the food isn’t that good unfortunately. Not enough spice and flavor i felt like I needed to put sauce in every 2 seconds lol. Everything else was great though.

Don has become my favorite restaurant! I come here just about every week because of how good it is every single time. The spring rolls and salmon teriyaki bowl are my favorite and service is always great. An amazing date night spot with great music and a great vibe. I recommend Don to literally everyone I know!!! 10/10

Delicious food. My 7 year old son loves the Ramen. Nice and quiet restaurant and absolutely perfect dining experience. The owner was very thoughtful to bring my son a bowl on the side to help cool down his noodles. Love it Here!

I'm torn between 2 and 3 stars.. I had an early dinner here with my family (husband and daughter) after visiting UNCG. We got seated right away but it took a while for somebody to get our food AND drink orders. No, they weren't exactly busy and had just two other tables with customers. I can't think of a way to describe how we were served as anything other than weird and downright rude, what with the server slamming our plates and bowls in front of us and reaching across literally in front of our faces to get empty dishes without any preamble. I thought at first it was all in my head until my husband made a comment about how "weird" the server was acting towards us. I told him it was probably because I was Asian. (He's white.) He realized that the server, who was, herself, Asian, was being racist towards me when he noticed how much more respectful and friendly and kind she was to the people at the table behind us, all of whom were white. Bad service aside, the food was meh and portions were okay, not generous. Only thing we liked was the burnt part of the rice where the sauces made them sticky and crunchy, lol. No, we won't be coming back.

VERY tasty food. The staff was courteous and attentive. They have a great selection of ramen dishes as well as several Korean favorites. Reasonable prices. Our party of 7 all ate for about $110.

Forgot to take pictures of the food because we were so excited! We ordered the Miso Ramen, it was very good! Ordered take out about 2:30pm. It came out very quickly and the lady working the front was very nice. We will be back to try more menu items!

Don Japanese is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Greensboro! The food is amazing and so is the service. After ordering my food I had my meal within five minutes. They have the shortest wait I have every experienced at a restaurant. Definitely recommend going to this restaurant.

The food is still good however, the cleanliness and seat spacing leave a great deal to be desired. They clump all the guests together in one area when there's planty of space throughout the entire restaurant. And, they move condiment bottles from one table directly to the next without even moderately wiping them off.
