The food is average, but never bad. The service is always good / great. The music is especially annoying however and ruins the visit. When I visited last, there were about 8 people in with the average age of 65. Heavy metal guitar music was playing so loud we couldn't hear each other. There were a couple young people who looked like they'd enjoy that music but the rest of us obviously didn't. The customers behind us commented as well; loud and harsh!! I'm not going back as this seems to be a habit and not a fluke for today. Even at breakfast it plays for all the seniors. Maybe they are telling us something, huh?
Service was not good. Items forgotten, wrong item delivered, drinks not refilled, unapologetically bad. Food was delish except flaccid bacon. Service a 1, food 4.
Food was delicious. The establishment was very clean. The waitress was excellent.
This is a true blue southern diner. Delicious down to earth food, southern charm with every order. Feel welcome and leave with a satisfied tummy.I would have taken better pictures, but the food was too good to wait for pics ?
My 2nd time visiting the place. Had a tuna sub with breakfast potatoes and everything was great. Fast service as well. My friend liked her sandwich too. Will be back again!!
Inviting atmosphere, clean restaurant, service was refreshing, not rushed. Good food to say the least. That salad was delicious!
Have been eating here weekly for years...tonight may be our last time. New manager stands chatting while our order sat in the window over 5 minutes (yes we timed it). Completely inedible. She then charges us $6.00 for two teas and gives us an attitude for leaving. We realize mistakes happen but the attitude with the dried up eggs and cold crusty tots is inexcusable.
Isabelle was our Server, the Phone Answerer, Cashier, etc. extraordinaire!Just like most places these days Carolina's Diner was also a bit understaffed, and an additional server was not in yet. But Isabelle handled everything with a cheerful attitude, and with swiftness, and politeness/respectfulness. She still was able to check on all of the customers so we all could feel like we were her only priority. We got a lot of food for a very reasonable price and will be eating leftovers tomorrow!Check out this below! We ordered the Carolina's Big Boy Breakfast only $10.50 -3 eggs, country gravy, grits, hash browns, 2 pancakes & a choice of 3 bacon or 3 sausage links. Served with a biscuit.Oh, and the food was really good too. We especially liked how the pancake syrup was heated before Isabelle gave it to us.We saw one of the burgers come out of the kitchen, it was huge! Think we'll be getting that next time!Restrooms were clean too.The decor is 50's like, with quite a few neat signs posted on the walls. There was Booth seating with clear plastic film sheets hanging from the ceiling in between each booth so to help with Covid separation protocols.Carolina's Diner is in Quaker Village and is on the backside of the stores there. You park in same lot as Walmart.Happy Dining, and be Safe. ?
Great prices, great food and our waitress was great. We went during a rush time and had to wait by the door. After waiting for about 15 minutes, an employee went straight to a couple who'd just talked in about 30 seconds ago and added them to a list that we and the other customers never knew existed. Only after we and the customers complained did they move us up the list. We'd have left if we hadn't waited so long already but that was the only issue.
I would only go here if you enjoy good food at reasonable prices and like friendly faces. Otherwise this is not the place for you.
