Great fresh food,from a historical local restaurant.. I remember going here when I was a child,and I'm still enjoying it as an adult ❤ Great fish and Barbecue at excellent prices, plus everything is made to order..so I highly recommend this place to everyone ?

This mom and pop restaurant has Great food at fair prices. I have liked all over for the best sweet potato pie and theirs is the best sweet potato pies in town. I buy two whole pies when they are available. All of the food taste as good a my grandma’s. All of the food has that church lady quality. I Highly RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT. I have never been disappointed.
I try to patron local and minority owned businesses when I travel. I'm sad to say during my visit to the International Civil Rights Museum in Greensboro, which was informative and awesome. This local eating spot was not. I gave it a one based on the allure of the menu items online. First off, why have a menu posted if you some how ran out of a number of things on your menu. Second, the wait for the food is seriously long. The people that were waiting I'm sure know the routine. Last and the final straw to the whole encounter. Despite all of the other red flags, I was still wanting to try it out until I was informed that they only accepted cash. Be honest, is it me or most people these days don't walk around with cash for all of their monetary exchanges. One thing I will add is, with all the problematic issues the staff was polite and courteous. If you haven't guessed, I did not eat there.
The chicken was over cook and the grease was old the macaroni and cheese was hard and the cabbage have no taste to it at all and it didn't have any green in it. It was just white

Anytime we come South we look for the best BBQ and Boss Hog’s was #1 on Google’s list. This place fed our soul and spirits so much that we returned the next day to take some home to MD. Thanks for great food and still being open during these crazy times. #blackowned
