They put flounder on my shrimp I didn't order it my whole order tastes like flounder I hate flounder will never go back they handle it poorly and shorted me on shrimp I called they said it was the same amount but didn't matter it tastes like flounder paid 28 just to throw it away
Just not impressed with the broiled flounder and shrimp... Shrimp were basically a pile of cocktail shrimp, about 50, wet and covered with old bay seasoning but not properly broiled... The flounder had no flavor and was full of bones... I didn't have any fried food but it appeared better prepared... Willing to give it another try but only the fried fish or other seafood.
They prioritize takeout orders over people dining in. Waited an hour before food was brought out and it was cold. The food was so overcooked we could practically needed a knife to cut into it.
My husband loves this place! It's hit or miss with me the portions are great ...we get flounder and popcorn shrimp sometimes it has bones or not sometimes fresh grease or not...definitely better than Mayflower
Ordered white fish and it was not white fish. Whatever you served me made me very sick!
The food was ok, but the prices on the menu were misleading. They had an oyster combo, it said small 13.75 large 17.75..it said oysters and 2 other items...I got the small or I thought was the small, but when I got to register to pay they charged me the large price...I showed them the menu but they said there was no small even thought it was printed...make sure you ask them the price when you order so you won't get sticker shock at the register. I won't eat there again.
This place can be a hit or a miss. The beef tips and rice on Tuesday is usually great but something's like the fish plates seem to have very little if any seasoning on them.
Was looking for late lunch as we drove in the area and found this place on Google. Decided to stop here and we're glad we did.Dining area was much larger than it appeared from the front of the store. Seating was booths and table/chairs. Decor was "used" and dated, but, hey! I wasn't there to judge decor!I ordered the flounder platter including a nice (but bony) piece of fish, as large plate of fries and diet Pepsi, along with beets, that were surprisingly cold. I was sure to hey would be hot!My husband had the whitefish, a salad, onion rings and coffee.Though there were a number of signs throughout noting they were short-staffed and to be kind to those who did show up, we never felt the issue. Our table was promptly cleaned, set, drinks ordered. Wait staff was there to check our drinks a few times, our meal was hot and delicious when it arrived shortly after being ordered. All in all, this is one of many deserving restaurants, family-owned, I'd guess, that serve better quality food than most any chain, fresh, hot, served with a smile.
friendly. and food was good
Let me save you time and money.. The food is horrible, the fish is dry and mushy. The only thing edible is the shrimp(basic), hush puppies and coleslaw. You don't want to finish it there let alone take left overs home. I'd go back to Tides Inn's.
