Went to BaoBao Kitchen assuming from the name to order bao dumplings, they do not serve bao dumplings, but they do have some pretty great, fresh Vietnamese food. I got the lunch special hot box which came with soup and a spring roll. My mom got an order of the beef fresh rolls, both were delicious. While I didn't get my bao buns, I was very happy with my lunch.
Great food. I had the roasted pork lunch box, and the salad was fresh and clean. The pork was tasty, but could have been crispier, and the soup and veggie roll that came with the meal rounded out to make it truly fantastic. Had to go next door for white sauce to put in Baobao’s fluffy rice. Will get extra salad next time, to be more low carb.
I honestly don't know how they got good reviews. To my surprise, this was not authentic vietnamese food at all. I was disappointed in the food and service. For starters, my cashier seems rushed and aggravated since, I had a few questions about their menu. Its not your "typical vietnamese" menu, and it was my first time there. So I needed a few minutes. The steak pho that I gotten, was so salty. It was overpowering the broth itself. The chia Lemonade was just "ok". Nothing too exciting or bad. Fried Wontons were not good at all. The meat stuffing in the interior tasted weird along with its extremely salty Nước chấm dipping sauce. The kids chicken/noodles was the worst of all things order. It was literally just chicken over vermicelli noodles. It was terrible. My son did not eat it all after one taste. So definitely a waste of money. And not kid favorite. However there were some positive that came out of this. The steak fresh roll and avocado fresh roll were good and nicely flavored. The peanut+hoisen sauce which is typically used for dipping was good. Coming from a Southeast Asian Vietnamese background, I don't think this is quality Vietnamese food. In my honest opinion, they did not deserve a tip. Why there was a tip, was because, you have to order first. Then wait on your food. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt. But with all the tables being dirty. Customers have to clean it ourselves before sitting down. Walk up to pick up our own food(not them bring it out to us), clear our own tables, and disposal of our own food, and never a refill on drinks. It's the first time ever I felt like a restaurant doesn't deserve a tip. It was more self served. I was starving when I arrived, but being new to the area and on a time crunch, I just hurried with my dinning experience. If you're seeking quality Vietnamese restaurant.. I wouldn't recommend it. This is like a Taco Bell version of Mexican food
Me and a friend got the Steak Fresh Rolls, Vermicelli and egg roll, red Curry Chicken, and wonton soup. The Fresh rolls were great love them they are just spring rolls but amazing. The red Curry is extreme coconut forward which I loved but just be warned. Everything else was good but just overall lacked any strong flavor at all. The Chia Seed Lemonade is amazing got an extra before we left. Overall this place is great just make sure you sauce up your vermicelli and egg roll.
The lemon grass curry tofu was amazing! The vegan fried spring rolls with the fish sauce was delicious. Just wish they would put more sauce in their dishes. The food can be dry at times. They’re short staffed so be prepared to wait. This is the only place I’ll eat where the customer service is so so. Most days they seem over worked and un happy.

It’s really worth that we tried their foodsAuthentic Vietnamese Pho and their spring rolls are awesome.Yes we waited for the foods because their foods is freshly cooked and that is understandable ❤️We will definitely come back to BaoBao Kitchen
Delicious!! Had the spicy chicken pho...will be going back for sure
People with high or near high blood pressure, beware! Order was beef pho and the barbecue beef hot box. The broth was so salty I could not believe. I tried to eat becausei was getting over that flu but I couldn't stomach. I didn't go back to report it to them or request a refund but isn't someone tasting the food before serving. It's not authentic from scratch but I expected it to be at least palatable. Fortunately we have authentic places to go for Vietnamese food in Greensboro besides this place.
TAKES FOREVER TO GRT FOOD.Waited 40min for two orders of fresh rolls to be made…and it wasn’t even busy….2pm weekday. They have multiple signs posted about “short staff” and “hiring”, but it should not take this long.If the staff would have a little more effort in being fast and being attentive to customers that would help greatly. I have been multiple times before and it has taken 20min for these to be ready in the past…so sadly this place is never truly fast…but 40min for simple rolls to be ready is absurd. They are only doing one order at a time, and restaurants can’t do this to be productive. I think two people would be sufficient to Atleast get orders out faster than they are now.The dining area also had dirty plates and table tops.Disappointed and frustrated.Learned my lesson, and won’t be coming back.Hope they find more help soon because we do enjoy the food.
