Best nigiri anywhere. True Japanese standards. Staff is hit or miss but fish is worth it.
This is a great locally owned restaurant. The "hibachi" table cooking is always a hit, but what you need to know is that local sushi lovers know that this place offers some of the best and most authentic sushi and sashimi you can find. There's something here for everyone. The staff and owners are great, and this restaurant has been in business for many years - and for good reason.
The first time I went here they were out of lo mein and we got spaghetti as our noodles for a very expensive meal. The second time, we waited 2 hours past our reservation before a chef came to our table, were told we couldn't order sushi or appetizers, and had one of the rudest waiters I've ever spoken with. I won't be going back a third time.I understand that many restaurants are understaffed but if it's that bad, you shouldn't be seating people. Would have been better off telling me I can't make a reservation, than letting us come into your restaurant and have a horrible experience.
I lived in Japan for 10 years and usually Japanese restaurants in the states are a big let down for me. This was actually surprisingly good! They do have the standard American Japanese food stuff but they have a fair amount of actual Japanese food and the nigiri sushi was pretty fresh. The owner is actually from Okinawa but they didn't have Orion beer which is the only thing I was sad about ;-)
My favorite sushi place. I've been going here for years and and nice chunk of the staff has remained the same. They're wonderful people and the food is top notch. I have never eaten anything here that I didn't absolutely love.
The amount of food was great and delicious! I was running late and the manager still accommodated me! Waitress was really attentive! Going back for a third time
Tony was our chef, he was amazing, along with our waitress, sadly I can't recall her name. The food was excellent as always, same for Sushi and Tempura that was ordered. My family won't go anywhere else. It's a rare treat for us.
tried to call but no one answered, it was a little over an hour before close so we weren’t too hopeful but went in just to try. we were nice but hostess at the front was pretty rude and gave us a sorta snarky “next time, make a reservation”. looked kind of rundown and dirty anyways, so no thanks... uncomfortable
