I tried the pork chop and veggie combo. The pork chop was amazing. Mashed potatoes I wasn't a fan of but that pork chop will bring me back.
The food here is AMAZING. Not to mention, the staff here goes above and beyond. I drive for doordash and love picking orders up from them, the ladies are so friendly and efficient. 10/10 recommend!
I forgot to take a photo of the food. We were greeted by servers upon entering and quickly seated. There was a lot of items to choose from on the menu. I chose meatloaf with gravy, homemade mashed potatoes and pinto beans. My coworker had fried fish, which covered one plate, homemade macaroni and cheese and green beans. The food arrived prompt and hot. It was delicious and flavorful.I will make a return visit and suggest you give this a try if you like soul food.
We were on the way to the Greensboro Children's Museum from Raleigh and stopped by Arlene's, which is right on the way, for lunch. First time I've eaten there and the lunch room was pretty empty. The food on the menu was very inexpensive, prices I haven't seen since the early aughts, and I was getting worried I'd made a mistake in choosing the place.Staff was very friendly and the owner came out to say they'd only recently started opening for lunch and thanked us for coming in.The food was l-e-g-i-t. Kids got a burger and hotdog, I got a chicken sandwich, wife got a chicken salad. Fries were pretty good, my rancho chicken sandwich was really good, but my daughter's cheeseburger, with no dressing, was perfection. I eat a lot of burgers and have grilled quite a few of my own, this simple cheeseburger was one of the best.Ambiance is like a night club turned dinner in the corner of a strip mall, but the food is a solid 5 stars. Can't complain about the prices. Would be a good cheap date to show off knowledge of an underrated gem and find out if your date can't taste great food in a bit of a dive.
Amazing food and service; Arlene herself stopped by our table and visited. Absolutely recommend if you are passing through or near Greensboro!
Maybe they were real busy and the quality was bad. But this is my first and last time trying them. Chicken was undercooked and soggy and surprisingly unflavorable. The collards had no seasoning. Like seriously, bland. The Mac…?my suggestion, use broth to cook the noodles and maybe add Gouda or sharp cheddar cheese or something. But, eww. I don’t know who cooked that mess but eww. Just no. Best part of the meal was the Sierra Mist and that’s bc they didn’t have to actually cook it. Again, this is just my opinion. No issues with the wrong order or rudeness or anything but the food is just not good.
This is one of the absolute best soul food restaurant’s in Greensboro. The staff was extremely friendly and very attentive. The owner came out before we left just to make sure we enjoyed our experience. I will definitely be back!
I was tired of earning little profits from Forex and Crypto trading, Kelly assisted me in earning over $6,500 with my $500 investment within 7days. She's indeed the best account manager around, and her trading skills are topnotch. Instead of going for a loan I decided to invest in bitcoin with Kelly Robert, after I've read so many good reviews about her. It will be bad to keep this to myself when I know others can benefit too. You can also invest and smile at this great platform Contact Mrs Kelly WhatsApp: +19254145596. Email: [email protected]
First time trying and I must say it's hard to find a good soul food restaurant these days. You get a lot of food for your money, it was piping hot but I hate when you advertise yams and get Mashed sweet potatoes also that was not fresh cabbage that was straight out the can because I've tried can cabbage before. Cornbread wasn't all the way done. Overall service was good! I will try again.
The hamburger steak, shrimp and potato wedges were great. The only thing I had issue with was the mac. But food was hot and the service was great
