Haven't eaten here in years! Definitely didn't disappoint. 4 stars for how small the buffet was. Steak was awesome and well seasoned!
It was quick and convenient. The steaks were cooked a little more done than what I'm used to "rare" being. The wait staff was very attentive even though the restaurant was full to capacity when I visited. For some reason, they only had chocolate soft serve ice cream. Vanilla wasn't working. Everything on the buffet/salad bars was fresh and full.
I went there yesterday with my family and uncle and the it was okay but the food was lukewarm. The steak was tough and too fatty for me it wasn't a lot of food on the buffet. Overall the experience was good for itBut I probably won't come back sorry
Just the aroma in the air makes you wanna go in and dine. I got some amazing onion rings and they were delicious. The next time I get to Goldsboro I am definitely gonna Dine In, everyone I spoke with said how good the food is.
I have to admit I've never been big on buffets. However, this location is turning out to be one of my favorites. The people here are so friendly (customers and staff), the restaurant is always clean and well maintained and the food is really good. I end up going mostly on Thursdays for some reason and the food options have been the same. I need to try another day to compare. The fried chicken is my favorite, hands down; with the perfect amount of seasoning, juicy and moist and absolutely delicious! The salad bar has a good variety of toppings.There are other food options, made-to-order, such as steaks, for those that want something different. You can get that with or without the buffet. Overall, the buffet is a really great bargain at $10! Not sure if that is just the lunch price. It may increase slightly for dinner.
A group of us older people go out to lunch after church every Sunday, and frequently go to Western Sizzlin. Yesterday my sister ordered a baked potato that was so cold when it came, the butter would not melt. She asked for another one and it was cold as well. Then she asked for a sweet potato and it was hot...as a matter of fact, it was BURNT! None of us ever saw a sweet potato that was charred to the point that there was very little that was edible. The server didn't act like she was very interested in the problem, and when I asked for a take out box to put the remaining half of my sweet potato home in, she said I couldn't have one as I ordered the buffet; but I paid extra for the SP. She asked the manager and told me I couldn't take it out when I left...REALLY?? I'm too old and determined to leave something I paid for on my plate because of a bad policy. I can see not taking things off of the buffet home...I get that part, but it was not included. They must have recently changed the policy. Guess what? Our group, which runs from 4-10 people, will not be returning anytime soon! PS, I wrapped the rest of my sweet potato up in a couple of napkins and walked out the door...almost hoping someone would say something about it!
Great home-style cooking! My husband and I always get the buffet. They ask if you want a baked potato, toast, and some other sides. I always get the potato and toast. The banana pudding is awesome and there's always a cobbler or pie.
I haven't been in 20 years, and it was great. Very nice server and well seasoned fried foods.
The burger was kind of dry but still edible. The to go lady is always Awesome! Forgot her name but I'm sure she's the most friendly person ever!
I took my family out to eat for my son's birthday, thinking the buffet would have some good vegetarian options.... yea not so much. But they enjoyed their meal, so that counts.
