Buffet Pizza!! Those two words will excite anyone especially this critic. It was a tad bit of a let down, the food was good but the wait for the food was ridiculous. There was times where customers were just standing at the line waiting for any pizza to come out. The only pizza that was consistently on the line was the apple dessert pizza. One nerve this pizza place hit with me is no jalapenos or banana peppers anywhere, not on pizzas or even the salad bar. As stated the pizzas were good, they were all thin crusted. One was a deep dish but only saw it on one trip. The salad bar and noodle section was well stocked. The wait staff was below expectations, we sat and waited five min before being askes about drinks or if we were buffet. She was slow on refills and just checking on us. I'm very meh on this place, I'd probably only return for their breakfast pizzas.
Overall I was pleased with my stop here. The staff was quick and very pleasant. The selection of pizzas was nice about probably about 15 or 16 different ones at any time. Salad bar was fresh, they have pasta choices and my sons favorite dessert pizzas. The pizza itself was decent, it's on the level with most chain style restaurants so the rating is compared to those. If you are looking for high quality outstanding pizza like I'm use to in NY this isn't it. If you want a Fair priced meal for your family that has good variety and decent pizza this is it. I would definitely have it again.
I just moved to Goldsboro yesterday and am staying at the Days Inn, which is in walking distance. I have never ate at a Pizza Inn before. When I walked yesterday in I was greeted with great customer service from everyone working there. The atmosphere was so warm and inviting. The food was amazing and the sweet tea was awesome. Living in the south that’s a very big deal to have awesome sweet tea. I walked there today as well to have the buffet and once again I was greeted with great customer service, smiling employees, and a full house. The place was packed, which is always a great sign. My server’s name was Brooklyn and she went above and beyond her job to make me feel welcome and like family. Great service always kept my drink filled up. I’ve been working in the hospitality business for years; restaurants, retail and hotel and I know what the people go through in all 3 areas. It’s a tough industry. Again I would like to share and gratitude and experience. By far one of the best places to come and have a meal. THANK YOU to all the staff!
The ABSOLUTE WORST customer service EVER!!!!! I will not ever go back to this location again. We placed an order and asked for extra ranch and didn’t receive it. When I asked for the extra ranch that was ordered they made a huge deal out of it and stated we didn’t pay for it. I placed an order weeks ago and PAID for egg for 3 salads and received NO eggs. Was never compensated for my eggs nor did I make a big deal over it that day. For one I’m not coming back to the restaurant for eggs. And you only receive a half an egg when you pay for egg on your salad. The male manager working stated I should’ve called back that day concerning my egg instead of making the situation right like most people in customer service would have done. He was extremely rude and stated you will pay for the ranch if you want it. And the black haired female working the take out counter was extremely rude with him. They both need a little more customer service training. Will not be back and do not recommend.
Came here Easter Sunday 2022 and everything was absolutely fresh. The pizza was hot and fresh out the oven on STAT. The staff was awesome, restaurant was clean. I just can’t get over how much pizza didn’t have time to get old. That the way it should be. I’m happy with our experience. ☺️ I’ve been to several Pizza Inn locations and this is by far the freshest.?
They failed me on my last visit. I visit this location twice per week. If you dine in, expect a positive experience. However, if you take out, beware...three times now they have told me they accidentally put my takeout order on the buffet and asked that I wait an additional 15 mins for a new order. This defeats the purpose of ordering ahead. Also, all 3 times I needed to leave and head to work so I didn't have time to wait around. Also, they take your money FIRST before telling you this, so 2 out of the 3 times I had to go inside and request a refund. I understand that things happen, but at least tell your customers BEFORE TAKING THEIR MONEY so they can make the decision to wait or leave without causing extra delay and frustration. It will be a while before I go here again. Hopefully they'll get their takeout process together.
Dining in is always great, super nice staff, clean dining area. Take out is a different story. I just recommend eating in for good service! :)

Placed an online order before 12 pm. It was to be ready at 12:25, when I got there it was not ready and the drive thru guy pulled me up…fine. 25 minutes later not pizza! I ordered an individual pizza. I had to leave to go back to work, I called the manager for a refund…no apology, no lunch and I get to drive back after work for my refund! I asked what took so long, she said the order had never been started. Had I had been told this, I would have left and got lunch somewhere else and not been late for work!
I've been going to this Pizza Inn since I was a child & it has always been great until tonight. I can not believe the terrible experience I had. Ordered a medium pizza & a large chef salad at 7:38. Finally got to the window at 8:20. The pizza was ready. The salad was not. Was told to pull up waited for 10 minutes, still no salad. Backed up to the window because no one was there & the guy asked us for the 4th time what the last name was. We told him to just give us our money back. The manager came to the window & we told him what happened & told him to give us the money back because the salad still wasn't ready. He gave us our money back & didn't say a word. Didn't even apologize for what happened. This place is definitely not the same place it used to be. Unbelievable!!! Bye Pizza Inn. I won't be back!
