One waitress. Sat for 45 minutes without even a drink order, menus, or any contact vs the first letting us know she was alone. Watched the manager go outside for a cigarette break, and walk around never once talking to our table. Worker shortages are a thing, but there was no attempt to serve us or anything asked after we got up to go somewhere else.
The food and service is awesome.
Always great food & cold beer!! Never had a bad experience. The waitresses & bartenders are very attentive and make sure you don't need anything.
This was our first time at Whiskey Mill. We ordered the Bessemer City Buzzard stick (which consisted of one chicken breast cut in half & both pieces placed on the stick) $6.25; my husband ordered a Redneck Burger for $9.49 with one side (which is a $2.49 upcharge for fries); I ordered a BlackJack Chicken sandwich for $8.49 with a $2.49 upcharge for fries and a $3.50 upcharge for 1 added topping. A total of $40.91 for 2 people . . . although the food & service was good, I feel $40 for sandwiches & fries is over priced. I also didn't care for the atmosphere or swearing around the bar. Seriously doubt we'll be returning.** We did not order "premium side" of fries so we were overcharged because the menu showed $2.49 for fries or tots! Thanks for reviewing our receipt. Next time I'll include a copy of the receipt. Either way, this is no way to earn us as a repeat customer. **
Nice waitress , rude owners…big misunderstanding, but the owner is always right…Kings mountain location everyone is friendly…
Best waitress ever!! Martha Jane Hughes
Great place in Gastonia to eat and drink. We were there on a Sunday for lunch and had the $12.99 appetizer plate. Wow!!!! Fried, crispy, and loaded with everything. Extreme to the max!! Small salad loaded with blackened shrimp, cheese, bacon, tomatoes, onion, and lettuce. Another wow!!! Club sandwich was good and huge! Must check this place out.
It's close to the original in Bessemer City but is missing that old time building and character the original has. This is a very nicely decorated and the motorcycle sitting at the main entrance is a nice to look at while waiting to be seated. The menu is very familiar / American style. They do one item I have a very hard time finding at other restaurants and that is a fried bologna sandwich with all the fixings. Need to use a fork to eat but that's ok. I had that and wasn't disappointed. Lots of fixings and sloppy. If you don't like it that way ask them to go lightly. Anyways, I can't tell you about the rest of the menu because that's my go-to sandwich here. If you come for the food this will be fine. If you want old time character in you restaurant then a trip to Bessemer City won't disappoint either.
Bartender was awesome! The food was delicious!
Delicious, tasty, fresh, perfectly seasoned & grilled fish sandwich. Yummyyy!!!
