Been patronizing Reginella's since its opening, and always can rely on the food being consistently good. The pizzas are smack on each and every time, no variations - they are 18 inch round with toppings almost to the edge, they are not cheap on the toppings nor skimp on how far out they put it as some places give you big, bare crusts. We love the Margarita pizzas and still charge the listed price of $19.95 vs the 'other place' in Kings Mtn which is 238 Pizzeria which posts prices and they charges you up to $3-5 more per item even after you bring it to the owner's attention. The pans of lasagne are a great deal, too, from Reginella's!
Between 4 of us, we ordered a Philly cheesesteak, chicken parm sub, New York sub, and spaghetti. The portions were huge! We all enjoyed our food, and it was easy to order online and pick up in the drive thru. We will definitely visit again.
Excellent pizza! Loved it and will be back soon!
After going to Reginella's Pizza and Italian Ristorante for the first time on Feb. 29, 2020, my fiancee' and I were eager to return. Having been raised in an area where it seemed that every other local restaurant was an Italian restauarant and having a Grandmother who was first generation American from Palermo, I was pleased to find pride in service, food quality and portions. While the atmosphere didn't shout traditional Italian restaurant, they excelled in every other area so Reginella's was marked a "must return". I had the the special (something similar to Frutti di Mare) while my fiancee' had Penne Alla Vodka with chicken. Both meals came with a fresh side salad and warm, soft bread. Fast forward to last night, June 17, 2020. We called ahead to confirm that the restaurant was serving dine-in due to Covid-19. They confirmed that they were. We had our temperatures taken upon arriving (smart move) and then were directed to select from the menu on the wall and order at the counter.........okay. Just a minor change. Everything else was a quick downhill slide. My fiancee' ordered the Penne Alla Vodka with chicken again, adding shrimp this time, and I ordered the manicotti and inquired if a side of sausage was available. I was told yes, so I ordered it. I paid the $37 and change and found a table. REalizing that we had forgotten to give our salad dressing order, I returned to do so only to be told that a salad did not come with the meal. I had assumed from our previous experience at Reginella's, plus the increased cost of the meal as a dinner versus lunch, plus my experiences at EVERY OTHER Italian restaurant I had ever eaten in, that a salad was included. Minor inconvenience. It gets better though (or worse). The breadsticks came out cold with two cheap paper plates (key eyebrow raise). Then our meals came out in foil to-go containers with the sharp edges pointing vertically upwards adding an element of danger to an already disappointing experience. Rather than a piece of chicken my finacee's dish had tiny little chicken pieces that were likely readily available as pizza topping and searching for the shrimp was like the proverbial needle in the haystack. My manicotti came to the table withou my sausage. My waitress quickly remedied this and brought me a condiment container (2 oz.) with sliced pizza topping sausage ($3.00 upcharge). I asked what it was because I honestly thought it was a small container of grilled mushrooms at first! The owner should be embarrassed! This was my second most disappointing dining experience in the Gastonia and will ensure that I do not return. That being said, the sauce is delicious and the pizzas that they were putting out looked really good. I'd offer the following adive: To the owner, if you are going to tell people that you are open, then open. Folks generally don't like to spend hard earned money to be treated like a dog. I understand that the pandemic has impacted businesses, but if you cannot treat patrons as they should expect to be treated, with traditional Italian hospitality, tell them. I walked in expecting Portofino's type treatment and got McDonalds instead. Also, it seems that your pizza business is booming. Maybe you should consider dropping Ristorante and your pasta dishes and stick to what you want to excel at. To patrons, if you want pizza, I say go for it. If you want take-out pasta with a very good sauce, go for it (just don't add chicken, shrimp or sausage). If you want to eat pasta out of a tin foil container with cold breadsticks and no side salad, get a pan of Stouffer's manicotti and eat at home for $30 less.
i will not be back there i hate it when they take your money before you get rhe meal the bread was hard as a brick you could not chew it the food was nasty, there was so many flies in that place you had to eat one hand swat them with your other hand nad no unsweet tea, my firtst time there and my last
Well only the third review I’ve ever written and Covid takes another one off our restaurant list. This has always been our favorite local pizza place. No longer. Restaurants please do not open up in Phase 2 if you are not prepared. Plastic(cheap) cutlery, can drinks, flimsy paper plates, no tea and the pizza(used to be a 9 out of 10) was hardly edible. One guy in the kitchen and he either couldn’t cook or was over it himself. No idea why you’d open the doors. Torino’s, here I come, if that tells you anything.
food is fabulous!!!!! My favorite is the buffalo chicken roll.
I have barely finished my food and I had to get on here and let yall know that this is officially the best pizza in Gaston county. No doubts in my mind!! slept on it for a while and am regretting all those months I've could've been eating Reginella's!!!
We ordered a 12" Margherita pizza and it was awesome! The New York style crust and the fresh garlic is the best! Highly recommend! Will definitely order again!
Best take out lasagna ever! Very reasonable family meal.
