I've been going to ROs for 45 years and my Kids. Ever Thursday night ROs. Now that I live in Charlotte. I only get there once in a while. But last few time this place has fallen off on the Food and Service. Last Thursday the Wife and I decided to make a trip to ROs. Tell you this much after 45 years. This will be the last time of ever going to ROs. The food was so sorry I threw it in the trash. And told my Wife what has happened to the good places to have a Good Drive in ? To the Management. What has happened ? As I seen when pulled up on a Friday Night only 2 cars getting service. On myself after 45 years. There will not ever be another time wasted on the property
Food was decent for the price. A bbq tray with 4 sides for $12.25. Love the slaw, but I've had better BBQ in the area. Maybe I'll try it chopped instead of minced and see if my opinion changes.
The staff it awesome, this was my first time visiting. Wasn't too crazy about the taste of the pulled pork, it wasn't bad but not the Carolina experience I was hoping for.
Sad to write this, worst RO's experience ever, have been coming here since I was a child, always made sure to stop in for my BBQ, was told by locals was not the same but I went anyway, first time I only got 1 sandwich and did not bring any home. Service was great, meat tasted burnt and even slaw could not cover the terrible taste. Will most likely never go back.
Love the slaw burgers! Onion rings are really good! miss the thinner hamburger's thoe.Very friendly staff! Eat in or Curb side!
The best BBQ for like as long as I've been alive. Anyone coming to Gastonia should check out this. The onion rings are amazing too.
It's a different way of making BBQ it's served cold with their owe special sauce and it's awesome! And they have the Best onion rings around!The only Con I have is, they to neee update the dining area with bigger seats. They are tight to get in. I see a lot of bigger people having to squeeze their way in and some aren't that big of people.
Topnotch! RO's has been doing it this way since the beginning. Why 4 stars? Certainly not because of the food. RO's loses a star because you have to go into the belly of the beast to get there. It's located in the bowels of Gastonia, NC. (Gashouse). It's in the hood, the bottoms. Pack your pistol and your appetite and remember, don't eat to much because you might have to move fast. Keep your head down, shoot straight and get an extra order of slaw to go.

1st time customer. Fast friendly curb side service. Had BBQ sandwich, Onion rings & ice tea. Reasonable priced at $11. Very tasty.I'd like to try a hamburger (as mentioned in a review they are very good), even though it's a BBQ restaurant.I'd recommend.
