Last Sunday was my first time to order food from this restaurant. The staff who took our order (a guy) was very friendly, wait time was 10mins and the food was really delicious! I especially love their potato salad and also their chicken tenders. My husband loved everything aside from the fries which taste really bland. But the experience was great less wait time considering we had a baby with us and it was a plus. We will definitely come back and order more food and next time I will have potato salad and chicken tenders. I hope they will add some seafood on their menu :)For people who are asking about covid health protocols, the restaurant doesn't require people to wear masks.
I would very much highly and I say highly recommend Ole Carolina BBQ !!! Just this fellow the barbecue sauce itself had my mouth watering until my food was placed in front of me which was very good service owners were extremely with hospitality in the way that you should receive kind and friendly staff. I highly recommend the barbecue pork ribs the meat fell off the bone and not one ounce of a drop went to a napkin it was so finger licking delicious the barbecue excellent the hush puppies OMG and the baked beans there's own signature barbecue sauce is what topped everything off ribs barbecue brisket recommend all three and the onion rings I'm such a foodie and this was a great great food find even if it is 2 hours and 36 minutes from my house nothing like a good road trip and a full belly
Exactly what we like in a barbecue place. Great service! I'd never tried Brunswick Stew and loved it! French fries cooked to order perfectly. And try their hush puppies, too!
Great food. Service is a little slow so expect to spend a little time dining in. BBQ is on point and make sure you try the hush puppies!
Enjoyed a great lunch here. Just a simple BBQ Beef sandwich with fried okra and baked beans as the sides. My partner had fried chicken tenders along W Mac N Cheese and sweet potato casserole. The sandwich and BBQ slaw on the side were very good. The sides were excellent. From the sweet potato casserole, Mac N Cheese, fried okra and baked beans, all were extremely well done. Will return to try their array of other dishes because I now know they take pride in their sides, so I know they take pride in their meats.
The family who owns/runs this great BBQ spot used to own Carolina Country BBQ "back in the day" - a CLASSIC Charlotte area BBQ spot. Same hush puppies (legendary), sauce (legendary) and other recipes. Tastes just like it did 30 years ago growing up. My only knock - sometimes the service is inconsistent. One time, it'll be over-the-moon, next time its twiddle-your-thumbs... and it never fails - I try to introduce someone new - and we hit one of the "not stellar" service days which is unfortunate. The food tho - as good as its always been.
They catered an outdoor function for us tonight, and it was really really good. I'm gonna need to be a frequent visitor after some crowders hikes in the near future. Delicious!
The food was amazing best bbq ive eaten in a long time i bought 300 worth of food for Christmas eve. I ordered beef brisket but got beef bbq 3 pounds of it. This makes me wonder if they got my order wrong or they dont sell brisket ? IncNt get em on the phone they're closed still i was the last one to pick up Christmas eve
My mouth is still watering thinking of this place. Phenomenal BBQ at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend.
The barbecue is very good, but unfortunately the prices have been increased to the point that we will have to find other restaurants to support.
