Stopped in for a quick appetizer and drink after running errands. In between lunch and dinner hour the restaurant was fairly busy and we sat at the bar. The bar tender was also waiting the bar area tables and it was no issue as we were the only patrons at the bar. The service was great and even when it was realized that two of the beer taps were switched and the wrong beer was served it was corrected quickly and gracefully with apologies and a good laugh with a manager and bartender over the oddity. The menu pricing looks reasonable with nice options for casual fare and entrees. We enjoyed the shrimp and stuffed crab appetizer. No loud music, TV'S for sports, nice service, decent prices, good atmosphere; going back soon as a good go to place.
Best experience I’ve had in a long time! My waitress was Tiffany Wilson, she was outstanding! Super friendly, really great attitude, and amazing at what she does. Couldn’t have asked for a better meal. The employees really go out of their ways to make sure you leaving satisfied. I will definitely will be returning!
Ordered online, picked up at location in Gastonia NC. I ordered Southern Pecan Chicken Tender Salad & that salad normally has mandarin oranges, dried cranberries, bleu cheese crumbles & candied pecans with Balsamic Vinaigrette. But I got lettuce, chicken, cheddar cheese, tomatoes & cucumbers. That's not even close so I called so I could get the food I ordered & the attitude was that of someone acting like I did something wrong. When I said there was cucumber on my salad she said they don't have anything with cucumbers ? Told me to hold so she could go find out what to do. (That's definitely not how you handle this). She comes back to the phone & says it will be ready in 15 minutes. Then when I hung up my fiancé said his Garlic Shrimp Pasta was terrible.The noodles were overcooked & the shrimp undercooked. I go back to the restaurant & the girl up front was nice to me & told me they had all new cooks. But that's not an excuse bc what about O'Charley's standard? What happened to that?So I get home with the new food & I took one bite & threw it in the trash. My salad was disgusting.My fiancé's "Alfredo" was mac & cheese noodles with white cheese on top. He said "it tastes like feet." So we are eating the rolls that were in the bag. My little kids had the new chicken sliders & when I asked was it good my daughter said "its not the best but I'm hungry mom."I paid $42 for 3 kids meals & a salad, no drinks.And 2 meals went in the trash.This situation definitely calls for a refund.I have been eating from O'Charley's for at least 15 years & this is not okay.You guys need to do better bc this go round you don't deserve 1 star. I really hope this is not the new standard.
Mckenzie server was great but could tell she was busy. Sampler was ok potato skins were way over done, chicken tender were very small and over cooked. But the spicy pepper jack wedges were amazing. I got the same thing I've alway got Cajun chicken pasta. Won't be back to get that very very skimmy bland and tasteless. Skimmy on chicken and veggies barely looked cooked.
Considering being short staffed. I noticed in this right now society. People want to be waited on right now. That’s not the situation these days. Many restaurants are shorthanded. People need to understand that there’s a wait. I get it! My server was exceptional thorough and everything was amazing. But I was patient. He was very busy. No bus boy. Doing the best he could. I notice his things. Overall I had a wonderful experience and was in no hurry. Great job Carlos!!
We had a great experience at O'Charleys tonight. We celebrated my nephew's birthday with about 20 people. Carlos was an amazing server, he communicated well, checked on us often and made sure we were well taken care of. The manager Charles was awesome also! He stopped by our table to check on us and made our experience even better! Thank you, thank you, thank you! Great service!
It was bad from he word go. They were understaffed, which was fine. We didn't mind waiting, but they seated new customers before us, and our name and number were on the list ( we had already been waiting 45 min). We were seated in the bar area, also fine. Our waiter/bartender was absolutely fabulous. We felt bad for him because of the night he had been having. Not one person in management came out to help, and he was doing everyone's job, including his own. Apps were lukewarm but still good. Dinner was horrible; my husband ordered the bone in steak, which was supposed to be 16 ounces (I think), it was almost paper-thin and looked boiled...was just gross, the whole thing. I ordered Peach Chutney Chicken, and that was paper-thin. The best part of my plate was the broccoli, and that had no flavor. Then we found out that all six tables before us had sent food back. A manager came to our table and tried to throw his kitchen staff under the bus, BUT he was the one who was cooking until 20 minutes before he came out to talk to us. We decided to order something else because one we felt bad for our bartender/waiter, two we had already been there so long, and three we were hungry. We ordered burgers, and they were great!! After 2 hours or more of being there, waiting so long, receiving horrible food, the manager took off one app.....SERIOUSLY???? I gave 2 stars because of our waiter; otherwise, it would be 0.
My mother and I were there around 3 in the afternoon. Not many people were there at all. we and another couple waited to be seated. Staff works just look at us as they passed by. Our waitress obviously had issues going on and sat with her friends in the booth they were at. I had to flag her down to ask her to check to see if our dinner was finished after we eat there forever. she then brought them out. she ran outside for whatever reason. The place smelled like BO.. Terrible. I don't recommend this Ocharleys at all
Dinner was good then I ordered desert. I chose the peach cobbler for $5.99 plus $1.00 for ice cream. I wish I could download the pic I took of it. Imagine the smallest saucer with possibly 4pieces of apple. Zero crust and suited for a 4 yr old. And yes I ask for peach. My last visit!!!
Wait was a little long due to limited servers on staff. Once seated the service was good food was good we had salmon very good and steak kinda tough but I ordered it medium to well with just a little pink, next time I won't get it so well done. Sweet potatoes were tasty too.
