Literally everything is good. They have the best baked potatoes in history. The staff is super friendly and it's family owned and operated. It's Literally a staple of Gastonia. If you don't visit, your missing out. But bring a jacket because the a/c definitely works well.
The onion rings were dry and not like the pic I saw under menu, the beef had no taste. Just not a good experience for this being my first time there. The best thing about my visit were the young ladies that worked there, they were very friendly and made you feel welcome.
I like the food but I don't like the false patriotism. With all the people that go in and out of this place no one has a problem with the American flag being displayed backwards. I have mentioned it twice when I have gotten food here but it is still backwards. I choose not to go back for that reason. The stars are to be on the left of the stripes when displayed on a wall with stripes running up and down. Stop with the false patriotism your flag is hung improperly
You can't beat the food, the portions, or the prices! My favorite go to is the hamburger steak plate with cheese on top,the small will feed you no problem but the large will send you home with extras! On a side note if your a Carolina Tar Heels fan like me,your in for a extra treat ?

We ate their last weekend, we were treated like trash from the female that said she worked for DSS! She was angry ? at some thing personal and she was over heard saying she hates when black men come inside to dine in I will never ?? go back there the ribs were good but cold the fried Turkey sandwich was fried hard where the inside taste like wood ! Maybe I came on a bad day but I will never come back there again, because I felt like I was at Woolworths in Greensboro, NC back in the day their staff was not welcoming to me at all first time and my last time.

Excellent bbq, very reasonable prices…get there early, tables fill up. So glad they are open for dining again.
