Those people got their orders before us and in a timely fashion.After inquiring about the status of our order, we were told they were behind in the kitchen and it shouldn't be long. Then another table that came in after us got their order. We got up to leave, expressed our concern, and said we would pay for our coffee.Sitting right beside us was the owner. I expressed our concerns to him, he did nothing and showed no care for us. We will not go there ever again and would suggest you beware.

This place is a gem. It is a rare place to find where the staff and service are as great as the food. We left feeling as if we had made friends as everyone was exceptionally friendly. Buffet food was extremely good. The country style steak was delicious.
Decided to give them another try for breakfast after several visits where the quality of food had been pretty bad. On 4/16, my husband and I took our grandson in. We placed our order and suddenly heard a commotion in the kitchen. The OWNER got into an argument with a cook in the kitchen. Instead of being professional and trying to de-escalate the situation , the owner escalated it, ran Into the dining room where all the customers were and began yelling profanity and shouting that the employee had a gun. Police were called. We left immediately with our grandson, Who was so scared. Needless to say, no return visits for us.

Ohhhh I wanted it to be good.As a fan of breakfast foods, I am always on the lookout for a place that does it right. Cracker Barrel is a go to when all else fails. (Even sometimes they fail)I ordered the city ham with two eggs over hard. As you can see from the pic...it wasn't over hard, not with that much drippy yoke oozing out. (I got grossed out by the ooze)The ham was good. The Man got the big breakfast special & we split the pancakes. The pancakes were a bit chewy & had a denseness I didn't like. He made disturbing noises while eating the sausage, so it passed muster. The bacon was very chewy.The food came out warm...not hot..& really cooled down from there. Yes, this was a snow day in Gastonia but its not that big of a room & it wasn't that cold in there.There was a good mix of people on a cold day & that says something. The service was good..no complaints there...the coffee was tasty rather than having a burnt aftertaste..Wasn't wow'd...
Place was packed and we were in and out like old times. Food was great. Had the hot and wild omelette it’s it’s a big boy and home fries were top notch. Friendly clean and great price.
