Nice lunch. Good service.

Anniversary

Stumbled on this gem while looking for sit down spots that aren't a chain in Gastonia. The service and atmosphere were excellent! Beautiful and spacious patio, gorgeous building, and they had small fans for the tables to ward off flies for outdoor seating. Free cornbread for the table which was delicious. We ordered:- smoked trout dip - delicious!- fried green tomatoes - great crust and sauce; served piping hot- bbq sandwich with squash casserole - SO SO GOOD.- trout with butter beans/mushrooms - fish was seasoned and cooked really well, very tender and moist, but it needed more pesto (one little squeeze for two whole filets?!), and the beans and mushrooms were dry and bland; they tasted like they had been boiled in plain water and dropped on the plate, could've really used seasoning and some kind of sauce or oil to coat. Literally the only negative! They did accommodate with an extra side of pesto, but they also charged me for that.- side of collards - juicy, sweet, salty, tangy, still had some bite, I could eat a bucket of these!Overall wonderful experience. I likely won't order the trout again, but I will definitely be back!

They were open even on July 4th! Although they only served barbecue pork in plastic containers the food was still great and the view was amazing. Both the inside and the outside is stunning. The bathrooms and the whole restaurant is kept very clean. I just wish the bathroom doors were not sliding doors or that the lock was tightened so that one couldn't slide the door a bit when its locked. The waitres that was serving us was very friendly and made a great impression. Definitely will come back if I get the chance.

Very nice restaurant, love the big windows. The food is good and fresh. Nice place to bring someone for a good meal thats not a chain restaurant

I must admit that this was my first time visiting Gastonia so I had no expectations. We first searched restaurants and saw several were downtown, and did a loop around the area. We saw Barristers and the charming old building where it is located, and made our decision for lunch. What we found was a well done, tasteful renovation that highlighted the classical architecture with a simple styling without stuffiness. The service was polite, attentive, and helpful. Our meals were perfectly prepared steaks over a fresh caesar salad with just the right amount a dressing. I will definitely return and try some of the other menu items.

From out of town was delicious and perfect atmosphere even gave us a free birthday dessert highly recommend and will be back Thanks

Friendly staff & beautiful aesthetics. The brussel sprouts are highly recommended.

Awesome food, the air fried Brussels were sweet, crispy and the best I ever had! The ribeye was perfectly cooked and as good as Webb kitchen(the gold standard). Great service. Can't wait to go back
